Taylor Swift picked out a white dress and may have said yes to a Fourth of July wedding with Travis Kelce. But she's not the only celebrity bride to have Independence Day nuptials on her Wi$h Li$t.
Travis Kelce Makes Rare Comment About Taylor Swift Wedding
No doubt Taylor Swift sees sparks fly whenever fiancé Travis Kelce smiles.
So perhaps she will drop everything now and meet the NFL tight end in the pouring rain, sorry, Madison Square Garden to celebrate Independence Day with a huge commitment.
She'd hardly be the first bride who put the Fourth of July holiday on her "Wi$h Li$t."
Because while July 4 (or, in Swift's case, the previous business day) doesn't have the same baked-in romance as, say, Valentine's Day (the date Benedict Cumberbatch, Salma Hayek and, most recently, Maya Hawke chose to exchange vows), there's sure to be literal fireworks.
While flying under the radar was never truly a viable option for Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs standout, both 36, Julia Roberts and cinematographer Danny Moder were able to spring the committing-to-forever section of their 2002 Fourth of July bash on guests like George Clooney and Brad Pitt, who gathered at their New Mexico ranch for barbecue and sparklers.
And Billy Joel did the same for the pals invited to his annual summertime kickoff, turning a 2015 barbecue at his sprawling Long Island estate into surprise vows as he married equestrian Alexis Roderick.
As for Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, they ensured that no one crashed their party, marrying on July 3, 2021 at his 1,300-acre Oklahoma ranch.
"It was beyond what I thought it was going to be," the No Doubt frontwoman later confessed to Jade Iovine on her Tell Me About It podcast. Reflecting on how lucky she felt, Stefani added, "My spiritual journey has really guided me towards this place of peace and now I just need to figure out how to do the rest of my life."
As for Swift, she seems primed for a summer that's anything but cruel as she kicks the season off with a literal bang. Just three years after she celebrated her fave holiday with well wishes "from your local neighborhood independent girlies," looks like it's gonna be forever with the pop star and her guy from the Chiefs.
And we've got a long list of July 4 brides. Allow us to fill in the blank spaces.

Why yes, the Spice Girl's 1999 wedding to the soccer star was quite posh, the pair selecting the 560-acre Luttrellstown Castle outside Dublin, Ireland for their vows. Sitting upon golden thrones at the altar, the couple reportedly had nude figurines of themselves on their wedding cake, which they cut with a sword, naturally.
