13 Taylor Swift Fun Facts That Will Never Go Out of Style!
Taylor Swiftmade some children’s wildest dreams come true.
For children being treated at Kansas City’s Children's Mercy Hospital, Dec. 12 turned out to be an extra special day when they received a visit from the “Karma” singer.
As a first grader, who was being released that same day, told local reporters, “I told her my favorite song, ‘Bad Blood.’ She said I made her day.”
And for the young girl’s mother Phyllis—who said she began to grow suspicious that something big was happening when caregivers told her to wait to take her daughter home until after lunch—it was a visit she’ll be forever grateful for.
“For Taylor Swift to call her her bestie, it's a world of difference,” Phyllis told cameras, as her daughter showed off her newly signed Eras Tour book. “She doesn't have to do this. She doesn't have to come and give so much of her time, but she did, and it literally has made her little six-year-old life.”
So just what does it feel like to have Taylor as a bestie? The young patient summed it up, “Awesome.”
Taylor also visited with 12-year-old Blake, who was diagnosed with leukemia in June and had received a bone marrow transplant the day before the Grammy winner’s visit.

According to staff, Blake was more talkative than he’d been for days, as he excitedly showed Taylor the Kansas City Chiefs blanket he’d brought with him to every visit. And she couldn’t help but laugh when he pointed out in lieu of Travis Kelce’s name, the blanket read, “Taylor Swift’s Boyfriend.”
And since Taylor was visiting in the hometown of Travis’ NFL team, that’s not the only time her partner came up in conversation.
In a different video shared to X, formerly Twitter, a young patient tells her he likes Travis now, to which the 34-year-old replied, “Yes, me too. That’s an absolute yes on that one.”
But after the emphasis on liking Travis now, the boy admitted Travis’ teammate Patrick Mahomesused to be his favorite Chiefs player, but that he’s since changed his tune and is all for number 87.
“Good,” Taylor joked, as she signed his Eras Tour book. “These are good answers. You are acing this."

And indeed, Taylor has forged herself as a part of Chiefs Kingdom, appearing at as many home games as she can since she and Travis began dating in September 2023. But as she’s noted, their support of one another goes both ways.
"Something that I’ll always remember is when I finished a take and I’d say 'cut,' and we’d be done with that take, I would always hear someone cheering from across the studio where we were shooting it," Taylor recalled while accepting the award for Video of the Year at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. "That one person was my boyfriend, Travis."
She added, "Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic, so I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I’ll always remember that."
Read on to see how Taylor and Travis’ relationship went from a fumbled play to a Kansas City mainstay.
