Dutton Ranch producer-star Kelly Reilly confirmed that her former Yellowstone boss Taylor Sheridan will be more involved with the hit spin-off series, which was just renewed for a second season.

'I think Taylor is going to be involved as far as some story ideas as well, which is great,' Reilly - who reprised her role as Beth Dutton - told THR on Monday.

'It was an honor to work for Taylor [on Yellowstone], and it was an honor to have him lead us. Everything comes to an end, and his time with these characters as creative leader, it ended. So there was a moment where we were trying to figure out, "How do we do this without him?" That's what season one of this was.'

The British 48-year-old added: 'And now we realize that we've got it a little bit because of the work we've done with him and because of the gifts of these characters he'd given us. And he's really proud of us for doing it. We talk to him now about what the next season could be, and he wants to be involved.'

The 56-year-old actor-turned-creator served as executive producer during Dutton Ranch's first season, but showrunner Chad Feehan departed after reported 'clashes' with him and the head of 101 Studios David C. Glasser.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Sheridan's rep for comment, but did not immediately hear back.

Cole Hauser - who reprised his role as Rip Wheeler - was instrumental in selecting showrunner Benjamin Cavell to oversee season two, which officially begins filming in 'early 2027.'

'I have a dear friend who worked with him on SEAL Team for six or seven seasons. He's somebody I trust with my life,' the 51-year-old Actor Award nominee said.

'We went to boot camp together; a lot of time in the jungle together in Louisiana. So it was his recommendation of Ben, and the way creatively that Ben is and the kind of person he is and how his mind works, and we saw a glimpse of it. We had a very good meeting with him, and I cannot wait for this new iteration of Ben and his team of guys that he hires.'

Dutton Ranch amassed 12.9 million global views in its first week, setting the record for the biggest original series debut in Paramount+ history.

The fan favorite currently has a 'certified fresh' 89 percent critic approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Dutton Ranch's ensemble cast includes Annette Bening, Ed Harris, Finn Little, Jai Courtney, Juan Pablo Raba, J. R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca and Natalie Alyn Lind.

Sheridan - who was snubbed by the TV Academy on Wednesday - told Bill Simmons' podcast on June 28 that winning Emmys has never been his goal.

'I'm pretty common and I'm going to tell stories that common people are going to understand. That's most of America,' the Oscar-nominated writer said.

What's your view?

'You're not going to win no Emmys with me, but I'm not trying to win Emmys. That's not my goal. My goal is to sit somebody on their couch and move them, make them think, make them laugh, scare the s*** out of them, excite them. That's what I want to do, because that's what I want from a show.'
