Chris is a Senior News Writer for Collider. He can be found in an IMAX screen, with his eyes watering and his ears bleeding for his own pleasure. He joined the news team in 2022 and accidentally fell upwards into a senior position despite his best efforts.

For reasons unknown, he enjoys analyzing box office receipts, giant sharks, and has become known as the go-to man for all things BoschMission: Impossible and Christopher Nolan in Collider's news division. Recently, he found himself yeehawing along to the Dutton saga on the Yellowstone Ranch.

He is proficient in sarcasm, wit, Photoshop and working unfeasibly long hours. Amongst his passions sit the likes of the history of the Walt Disney Company, the construction of theme parks, steam trains and binge-watching Gilmore Girls with a coffee that is just hot enough to scald him.

His obsession with the Apple TV+ series Silo is the subject of mockery within the Senior News channel, where his feelings about Taylor Sheridan's work are enough to make his fellow writers roll their eyes.

Taylor Sheridan has built an entire television empire out of sprawling families, damaged men, and the kind of Montana landscapes that make every personal crisis feel even bigger. So when a new series arrives with Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell at the center of it, expectations are obviously going to be sky-high.

When The Madison premieres on March 14, 2026, Paramount+ will release the first three episodes at once. The final three episodes will then drop on March 21, meaning the entire first season will be over in just one week. That gives the series only six episodes total, making it the shortest season yet for any show connected to the broader Yellowstone universe.

Created and written by Sheridan, The Madison follows Stacy and Preston Clyburn, a married couple from New York who relocate to Montana’s Madison River Valley after a devastating family tragedy. As they try to rebuild their lives, the series tracks their adjustment to a very different environment, with Paramount+ describing it as a story about grief, healing, and human connection.

In addition to Pfeiffer and Russell, the series stars Beau Garrett (Firefly Lane), Elle Chapman (A Man Called Otto), Patrick J. Adams (Suits), Amiah Miller (War for the Planet of the Apes), Alaina Pollack (The Surrender), Ben Schnetzer (3 Body Problem), Kevin Zegers (Power), Rebecca Spence (Lady in the Lake), Danielle Vasinova (1923), Matthew Fox (Lost), and Will Arnett (Is This Thing On?).

What Else Is Taylor Sheridan Making?

The Madison is set to be the first of many from Sheridan's pen to hit the Paramount+ screens in 2026. Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone sequel featuring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, will premiere later this year, while Luke Grimes is currently in the process of reprising his role as Kayce Dutton in Marshals on CBS, which began earlier this month. Wes Bentley's Jamie Dutton isn't appearing on account of his shuffling off this mortal coil, but his presence is lingering throughout the plotline so far. Regarding Marshals, Sheridan is currently an executive producer on that series, but nothing more. His other hit shows, Tulsa King, Lioness, and Landman, will return later in the year, while Jeremy Renner's Mayor of Kingstown will end with its fifth season, though a release date has not been set.

The Madison premieres on March 14 on Paramount+ with a three episode premiere.
