Landman is now facing danger of finally ending a successful era on streaming for two reasons. Landman is one of the many popular shows that are part of Taylor Sheridan's TV empire. While it is not set within the limits of the Yellowstone franchise, the Neo-Western series has a lot in common in tone and story with Sheridan's classic Western shows. Sheridan created Landman alongside Christian Wallace, who was responsible for starting the idea for the show on the podcast series he hosted, Boomtown. Landman has since become an extremely popular release for Paramount+, with two seasons out so far.
As has become the norm for many of the shows Sheridan creates, he has penned all 20 episodes of Landman so far. That level of consistency from one of the biggest names in the industry right now has brought Landman's critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes to a strong 80%. Landman season 2 debuted on Paramount+ on November 16, 2025, concluding on January 18, 2026. Throughout its run, the Neo-Western series proved itself quite popular on the streaming service. However, Landman is now the 8th most-watched TV show on Paramount+ in the United States and the 24th on the Amazon VOD chart.
Taylor Sheridan's Landman May No Longer Be A Top 10 Hit
That is noteworthy due to the record-breaking nature of Landman season 2. For instance, TheWrap reported on January 22 that the Landman season 2 finale accrued 14.8 million views around the world in its first two days of availability on Paramount+, according to official data from Paramount Global. With that sum, Landman recorded the biggest audience for an original series' finale on Paramount+, also becoming the streamer's biggest show at the time. That is all to show just how high Landman has fallen, as it is now in danger of completely dropping off Paramount+'s TV show top 10.
At the time of writing, Landman only ranks higher than Frasier and Tyler Perry's The Oval on Paramount+'s United States chart. As for the Sheridan Neo-Western series' performance on Amazon's VOD chart, Landman is also close to falling off the list. Right now, it is the 24th show out of 25 releases on the chart, ranking higher than another Sheridan-created genre series, Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell's The Madison. Given how season 2 ended on January 18, and Landman season 3 will not be released in 2026, the show is unlikely to climb back on Paramount+'s charts once it falls.
Sheridan Has Plenty Of Other Shows Still Dominating Streaming
Image via MovieStillsDBWhile Landman is on its way out of the Paramount+ and Amazon VOD charts at the moment, Sheridan continues to stand tall with multiple successful releases on streaming. The most-watched TV show on Paramount+ currently is Lioness, Sheridan's spy thriller series starring Zoe Saldaña. Lioness season 3 will only air its finale on September 20, giving it one more month, at the very least, to rule the streaming service's charts.
On Amazon VOD's US chart, Sheridan shows like Lioness itself, at the top of the list, Dutton Ranch, and The Madison are also trending, so the creator will continue to have shows on those coveted charts even if Landman seems to be on its way to falling off them soon.
