Taylor Lautner welcomes first child with wife Tay... as they reveal sweet name and glimpse of their newborn

Taylor Lautner and his wife Tay are now officially the proud parents of a baby girl.

The couple announced the arrival of their first child together with an adorable photo of their bundle of joy in her onesie on Wednesday.

Baby Lennon Taylor Lautner was born last week on September 16, the Instagram post revealed. 

'One week loving our sweet little Lenny,'  the couple captioned the post. 'Lennon Taylor Lautner. 9.16.2026.' 

The Twilight star, 34, announced his wife's pregnancy back in March with a photo of him kissing Tay's bump as she held a sonogram. 

'What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?' the post was captioned.  

The couple have been married for four years and together for a total of eight. 

Lautner was first introduced to wife Tay, 29, through his sister and the couple went Instagram official with their relationship in 2018.

Three years later, the actor popped the big question and the pair announced their engagement in November 2021.

'I got tons of flowers and candles and a sign,' Lautner told Access Hollywood while offering details of the proposal.

'So when she came home at the end of the day, after a long day of work, she walked into that. It was a lovely surprise.'

The following year in November 2022, Lautner and Tay said 'I do' during a romantic ceremony at a winery in Paso Robles, California.

'We're just excited to be husband and wife,' she told People at the time.

'The wedding day was so special but we both very much believe that it's not just about that one day, it's about a lifetime together. We're excited to start forever. We are best friends.'

The actor also made a humorous reference to both he and his wife having the same first name. Upon tying the knot, Tay also took her husband's last name.

'Our officiant [joked] that he couldn't wait for the moment he got to say, 'I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Lautner.' And it's accurate!' Lautner also told People.

During an interview with Cosmopolitan back in January, the couple revealed whether they were planning to have children in the future.

'We haven't tried having children. We don't know if it's going to be a struggle, so there's no negative connotation around it,' Tay explained.

Her husband then added, 'I'm ready when she is. I think we're getting closer.'

Tay also shared, 'When you're with the right person, there isn't any pressure. It's the same thing with kids.

'I'm really just loving life so much now. I've found this love for my career, which I think is so special. Not to say you can't do both...'

In regards to if Lautner would want their kids to follow in his acting footsteps, he expressed, 'I'd definitely have reservations.

'I feel like you can't say, "No, I'm not going to allow you to do something that you feel passionate about." But I would give a lot of other options.'
