Taylor Frankie Paul directed a message to The Bachelorette contestant Doug Mason after he reacted to ABC's cancellation of her season.

Season 22 of the reality dating series, originally slated to premiere on Sunday, was abruptly axed last week as 2023 footage of Paul, 31, hurling chairs at then-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, 33, was released.

Mason, 28, took to Instagram on Friday and said in a now-expired video: 'In light of everything that has happened, I am just sending prayers to Taylor because that was her moment and her moment was blocked.

'...All we can do right now is just be hopeful, and I am headed off to run to watch the sunrise.'

The clip was reshared by Instagram account @stephwithdadeets and Paul commented, 'Aw my heart goes out to him. So sweet.'

It comes after pop culture critic Steve Carbone, who posts from the social media account @realitysteve, claimed in a bombshell spoiler that Mason was the season 22 winner.

Paul is the star at the center of Hulu's reality series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives (SLOMW), and she was announced as the latest Bachelorette in September.

Her tumultuous relationship with on-off partner Dakota has been documented throughout the show's four seasons.

The simmering war between the couple exploded into the open on Thursday when leaked video from a 2023 bust-up was published online.

In it, a drunken Paul is seen trying to force Mortensen into a headlock before attacking him with a metal barstool.

Her daughter Indy, now eight, is also seen in the harrowing clip and heard sobbing while curled up on the sofa.

A police report of the incident revealed that the child – then five – was hit during the altercation and had 'a goose egg on her head' as a result.

The previously unseen clip formed part of a felony prosecution for aggravated assault against Paul, and she subsequently struck a plea deal and was handed three years' probation which expires in August.

Four other charges, including domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse, and criminal mischief, were dropped as part of the deal.

Mortensen was granted a temporary restraining order against the TikTok star on Friday after telling a Utah court she posed an 'immediate threat' to his physical safety.

The order, issued Friday morning in Salt Lake City and obtained exclusively by the Daily Mail, bans Paul from having any contact with Mortensen and their two-year-old son Ever until a hearing scheduled for April 7.

The video, which was first published by TMZ, has sparked backlash and prompted her season of the Bachelorette to be canned just three days before it was due to air.

In a statement, Disney executives said: 'In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.'

The cancellation could cost ABC up to $28 million, with filming costs for The Bachelorette reaching up to $2 million per episode.
