Taylor Frankie Paul announces she is QUITTING The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives amid custody drama and domestic violence scandal

Taylor Frankie Paul is done with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. 

The reality star, 32, who has been embroiled in controversy after video of her hurling chairs at an ex partner came to light, announced she has decided to quit the program. 

In a lengthy statement uploaded to her Instagram on Monday, Paul said she was 'relieved to be out' as she described how alleged drama with her castmates led her to her decision. 

'My gratitude goes to all the networks that supported me throughout this and gave me the chance to return. However I don’t desire to move forward like this. I originally was willing to be removed to let them all continue on with less stress and I’m back to that point. 

'Some of the girls know what I’ve been through and then to turn and collectively pile on with their “statements” knowing there has been ongoing abuse through the system the last 8 months on top of what I’ve endured. 

'Almost the entire cast plus some, going at me….laughing about my kids is disgusting. And I bit my tongue there. These same people had meetings telling me I need to lead the way of pay….my voice was the only one that can make it happen and then they would work from what I demanded. 

'I’m grateful I never followed through with their requests of demands and I’m grateful I kept same pay out of fairness and integrity. I treated production and crew with respect always, in fact they are ones who checked on me throughout this. I agree it’s to the point of bullying for months now. 

'What makes it harder to take in is some of these parents have made mistakes that would result in the same judgement I’m receiving yet pointing a finger. However it’s a pleasure to remove myself so they can continue, because I’ve almost convinced myself I’m deserving of all this pain and to a certain degree absolutely this is consequences of my actions. 

'My question has been how much suffering and scrutiny is going to be enough…I’m just relieved to be out.' 

The statement made no direct mention to the show, but she tagged Hulu, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and the show's production company, Jeff Jenkins Productions, in the accompanying photos. 

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Paul and Hulu for comment. 

The announcement comes just days after Mikayla Matthews, with whom Paul was feuding with, quit the show.

When The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives debuted in 2024, it chronicled the fallout caused by Paul's 'soft-swinging' scandal on her TikTok group MomTok.

The show didn't shy away from hiding the good, bad and ugly of their castmates lives, with the debut episode showing an arrest which would later come back to haunt Paul. 

Video of Paul throwing chairs at her ex Dakota Mortensen with her young daughter Indy present back in 2023 surfaced days before her season of The Bachelorette debuted. 

Paul was arrested at the time and ultimately plead guilty to an aggravated assault felony charge before completing a three-year probation period which reduced the charge to a Class A misdemeanor, according to People. 

The dispute was public knowledge for years but ABC shelved her season of the series after the video came to light. 

She has been in a custody battle over her three children in the months since the scandal erupted. 

Paul is mother to nine-year-old daughter Indy and six-year-old son Ocean with her ex-husband, Tate Paul; and two-year-old son Ever with her ex Mortensen, 33. 

In the latest legal development, Paul's visitation time with her three children was reduced after she allegedly failed drug tests that had been ordered by a Utah court. 

Insiders close to the case told TMZ that the tests Paul failed had been over the past two months.

Sources told the outlet that as a result of the latest developments, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives personality is currently with her children for a total of eight hours weekly.

The reality star spends four hours with Indy and Ocean, and four hours with Ever, sources told TMZ.

The substances in the test 'remain unclear,' sources told the outlet, describing one as 'not commonly available as a prescription' medication.

Sources linked to Paul told The Daily Mail that 'juvenile court proceedings are strictly confidential, and a court-ordered gag order remains in effect.'

They added: 'The fact that alleged information from these confidential proceedings is being disclosed publicly is yet another example of the continuing harassment and inappropriate conduct from the other side.'

Paul earlier this year had been granted a weekday and every other weekend with unsupervised visits in her custody battle with Mortensen, who has primary custody of Ever.

Tate earlier this year petitioned the court for sole legal and physical custody of his two kids with Paul, citing the 2023 incident involving Mortensen. 

After TMZ posted the clip on March 19, ABC abruptly shelved Paul's season of The Bachelorette on the verge of its premiere.
