EXCLUSIVE: Tara Long, who has been President of Global Unscripted Television at Blink49 Studios since she joined in January 2024, has some new responsibilities.
Long has been promoted to also oversee a range of new ventures including a creator studios, brand studio and a vertical content division. She becomes President, Global Unscripted Television and Studio Ventures at the company, which is behind E!’s forthcoming reality series The Golden Life featuring a number of Real Housewives of New York veterans.
Blink49 launched its brand studio last year to develop new models for brand-funded programming such as Murder at the Mansion, which is a vertical micro-drama created in partnership with Uber Eats. Blink49 Creator Studios handles creator-led IP across platforms including a new documentary about the New York Knicks championship winning run directed by Travon Free.
In addition to overseeing shows such as WeTV’s The Braxtons and Amazon’s Romcon: Who The F**k Is Jason Porter?, Long also spearheaded the acquisition of Lighthearted Entertainment, the company behind MTV’sAre You The One? earlier this year.
