Tamara Ecclestone's heartbreak as she shares 'the worst phone call she has ever received' from her sister Petra after she fled her $30.5M LA home as the wildfire moved closer

Tamara Ecclestone has shared her terror after receiving the 'worst phone call ever' from her sister Petra during the Los Angeles wildfires.

The F1 heiress, 40, said that she was 'stunned' by what is happening in Hollywood as she posted about her devastation on her Instagram page on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Petra's real estate agent husband Sam Palmer has said they were 'praying for a miracle' as the Pacific Palisades veers closer to their $30.5M home.

Sharing a terrifying update on Instagram, Sam said their house was in 'god's hands' as they watched the fire, from their television, head to their area. It is currently unclear how affected their home has been.

Petra and Sam have since checked into the Beverly Hilton Hotel with their children and pets where they are are hunkering down into the fires are under control. 

Tamara shared the moment she received the news that her family had been forced to flee their home from the fires ripping across the city.

Sharing a photograph of a firefighter at the blaze, she wrote: 'The worst phone call I have ever received from my sister. I am still stunned at what is happening. My heart breaks for everyone that has been affected.'

Stars such as Petra, Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, Star Wars’ Mark Hamill, American actor James Woods were forced to flee as rampaging wildfires ripped through Pacific Palisades, burning everything in their path.

Thanking her fans for their support last night, Petra wrote on her Instagram Story: 'Thank you to everyone checking in. My heart goes out to everyone in LA... 

'Our friends and all those in the Pacific Palisades, Malibu, also impacted by the wildfires. Hoping for a miracle that our will be ok. 

On Thursday, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck were seen returning to their properties, with one neighbour telling the Mail he saw Affleck wielding a garden hose to soak the deck at the back of his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s mansion.

More than 33,000 residents were forced to outrun what has become known as the ‘Palisades Fire’, which burned through 3,500 acres, whipped by winds of up to 80mph.

The vast conflagration remained out of control last night, with California governor Gavin Newsom declaring a state of emergency.

Three other blazes nearby – the Eaton Fire, Hurst Fire and Woodley Fire – destroyed a further 2,200 acres with another 50,000 residents displaced.

Sam has been keeping his followers updated on their situation, as he posed with his son for a photo, and wrote: 'Safe and sound. The house is in gods hands now'.

He later updated fans penning: 'Watching the TV with the fire heading to our house praying for a miracle'.

Just 24 hours before the fire engulfed Los Angeles, Sam and Petra returned home from a family trip in Dubai.

In 2023, Sam and Petra splashed out on the sprawling property, which boasts seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms and is 13,500 square feet. 

The dark grey house is situated behind high gates and a large wall of olive and oak trees.

It has a huge garden complete with a large swimming pool, as well as a movie theatre room.

The mansion also has a music room and a wine cellar that can hold up to 200 bottles of wine.

The enormous blaze in the Pacific Palisades forced the evacuation of tens of thousands of people, some of whom abandoned their cars and fled on foot to safety with roads blocked.

Firefighters battling the blaze, which is burning through about five football fields a minute, warned they were running out of water and supplies, as evacuation warnings spread to Malibu and Calabasas.

Tankers full of water had been dousing the inferno from the skies all afternoon, but all aircraft were later grounded amid deteriorating wind conditions and visibility.

Residents were warned the worst is still yet to come as the raging wildfire burns through more than 2,900 acres of Los Angeles land at an extraordinary rate.

At least 30,000 residents are now under mandatory evacuation orders with more still warned they should be prepared to leave, after a fire that broke out in the foothills near Eaton Canyon has grown to 1,000 acres in just six hours since it began.

A third brush fire has broken out in Sylmar in the San Fernando Valley which recent estimates is around 100 acres big.

Even more celebrities call Calabasas and Pasadena home, including the Kardashians.

Hellish photos from the inferno's epicenter show once-decadent million-dollar homes completely obliterated by the wildfire. A spiral staircase and opulent art gallery wall were seen burned to cinders.

Firefighters, which have said there is no hope of containing the fires overnight, are now focusing their efforts on helping residents get to safety.
