Ultraman is having a great 2024, between the launch of the latest giant of light in Ultraman Arc, and his stylish animated debut in Netflix’s Ultraman Rising. But now Japan’s beloved size-changing hero is getting an international infusion of killer artwork from a host of famous artists in the latest drop for the Ultraman trading card game.

Wave two of Tsuburaya’s Ultraman: The Trading Card Game is set to hit in early 2025, and will bring with it a host of card art illustrated by international comic artists. Joining the roster for wave two are Sean Chen (Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Wolverine, Avengers, Batman Beyond, Pacific Rim: Tales from Year Zero), Reilly Brown (Amazing Spider-Man, Incredible Hercules, Lobo, Deadpool, Outrage), David López (Catwoman, All-New Wolverine, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, Justice League), fantasy art legend Bob Eggleton (Godzilla, Jimmy Neutron, Magic: The Gathering, Famous Monsters of Filmland) and Davide Tinto (Ultraman: The Mystery of Ultraseven, Star Wars: Bounty Hunters, Marvel Action
Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Commanders In Crisis). They’ll also be joined by Ultraman fan favorite Klenda Vee, who will bring her famous watercolor stylization of iconic Ultra heroes and kaiju alike to the game.

To celebrate the news, io9 has a sneak peek of three of the new cards coming in the set: Sean Chen’s take on Ultraman Zero, Davide Tinto’s Ultraman Blazar, and David Lopez’s Ultraman Rosso. Check them all out below!
