T1 Energy Reports $250M Q2 Sales as Losses Widen

T1 Energy generated $250.1 million in net sales during the second quarter of 2026. Meanwhile, G1_Dallas module production reached 935 MW as manufacturing activity remained strong. Adjusted EBITDA totaled $10.7 million during the quarter.

The company recorded a $36.9 million net loss from continuing operations. In comparison, the same business reported a $31.2 million continuing operations loss one year earlier. However, $24.4 million of tariff refunds reduced second-quarter cost of sales.

T1 reported a $44.5 million net loss attributable to common stockholders. That result equaled a loss of $0.16 per share for the quarter. Moreover, cash, equivalents, and restricted cash stood at $156.4 million on June 30.

Solar Production Expands as G2_Austin Construction Advances

T1 continued construction of the 2.1 GW first phase of its G2_Austin solar cell facility. The building is now ready for interior mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation. Meanwhile, production equipment shipments have started arriving at United States ports.

The company expects Phase 1 capital spending to total about $510 million. This estimate includes a 20% contingency for higher labor and material costs in Texas. T1 expects G2_Austin to produce its first solar cells during the first quarter of 2027.

Production at G1_Dallas should also strengthen during the second half of 2026. T1 expects third-quarter and fourth-quarter production rates to exceed second-quarter output. Consequently, annual production could reach the upper end of its 3.1 GW to 4.2 GW range.

Clearway Deal and Financing Support Expansion Strategy

T1 recently signed an agreement to supply Clearway Energy Group with 641 MW of solar modules. The modules will use domestic cells produced at the planned G2_Austin facility. Therefore, the contract supports T1’s strategy for a traceable domestic solar supply chain.

The company also acquired solar intellectual property from Evervolt Green Energy Holding for $135 million. The portfolio includes patents covering TOPCon solar cell and module technology. T1 plans to use those rights within its growing domestic manufacturing platform.

T1 completed a $120 million private placement of convertible senior notes during July. The company plans to use the financing as a bridge toward broader G2_Austin funding. It also continues seeking a larger financing package with a significant debt component.

T1 also completed its acquisition of KORE Power during July 2026. The transaction gives T1 access to battery storage and data center infrastructure markets. Furthermore, the company created the T1 NRI brand to serve those business segments.
