See Sydney Sweeney’s Stunning Transformation For New Boxing Biopic
Sydney Sweeney critics, this play is about you.
The Euphoria star shut down body shamers in a video shared on social media Dec. 13, opening the clip with a montage of screenshots criticizing her figure.
“I wouldn’t look twice at this version of her,” one anonymous user wrote, while another griped, “Nothing ‘incredible’ there…… Maybe an Ozempic candidate tho.”
Another person criticized her for being “extraordinarily average,” while one user added, “She's a 5 at best.”
But as the Instagram video continued, the 27-year-old proceeded to defy her haters with footage from her grueling workouts, which included boxing and flipping tires. She also flaunted the results of her sweat sessions, flexing her biceps to reveal the muscle definition she gained while training to play boxer Christy Martin for an upcoming biopic.
The Anyone But You actress—who is engaged to businessman Jonathan Davino—had plenty of celebrity supporters in the comment section of the post as well. Abbott Elementary star Quinta Brunson congratulated Sydney on her progress with a fire emoji, while her White Lotus costar Lukas Gage wrote, “f-k yes go off syd.”
Sydney’s Madame Web costar Isabela Merced also left a scathing message for the internet trolls, writing, “These people would never say it in person. Too scared. But if they ever did? Best believe it’s hands.”
While Sydney didn’t back down from clapping back at the negativity, she previously opened up about her physical insecurities growing up.

“When I was in high school, I used to feel uncomfortable about how big my boobs were,” she told Glamour in 2023. “I used to say that when I turned 18, I was going to get a boob job to make them smaller.”
But after getting advice from her family, Sydney decided to embrace her natural shape.
“My mom told me, ‘Don't do it. You'll regret it in college,’” she went on. “And I'm so glad I didn't. I like them. They're my best friends. Everybody's body is beautiful. When you are confident and you're happy within is when it really shows to other people.”
