Sydney Sweeney has admitted that her signature blonde locks are now 'fried.'

The Anyone But You star, 26 — who recently flaunted her toned legs in a skimpy wetsuit — told The Strategist she has banned herself from using dye after it led to hair damage from constant use for various movie roles.

And now she is giving her tendrils a break so it gets a chance to bounce back to its natural brunette shade.

'I'm trying to grow my hair out. I'm on a hair-health journey,' she told the outlet.

'My hair has been very damaged and fried from constantly dyeing it for different characters and red carpets, so I decided to trim off all the dead hair, stop coloring it, and let it grow out,' the actress said.

The Immaculate star shared she is no longer sweeping her locks up with hair ties — instead she opts for claw clips.

She added: 'My hairstylist was also telling me to stop using hair ties when I'm not working, so I've started wearing hair clips.

'I love Emi Jay's because there's so many fun designs and colors and sizes. I probably have almost all of them. I have one in right now.

'It's just a fun accessory to add to your outfit,' she shared.

Sydney went light blonde for summer, with her hairstylist sharing how she was keen to 'change it up majorly' and get away from her darker roots.

Celebrity hairdresser Rita Hazan — who has styled Beyonce, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey — told People: 'She feels most like herself when she’s blonde.'

She has experimented with different hair colors such as jet black for the 2024 Met Gala

The Madame Web starlet wanted to stick with her side-swept, middle parted bangs, and her hairdresser made sure they were part of the hair makeover process.

Rita explained: 'I’m not a big fan of just doing "money pieces". I like for the hairline to be light, but it should also be blended with the rest of the hair.'

She told Vanity Fair, 'I’ve always been terrified of just cutting my hair super, super short, just because it takes so long to grow. If the character really asks for it, I always go for it. I’m going to fully commit myself and I’ll do it—and then after I’ll be like, "Why did I do that?"'

'She transforms into so many looks because of her hair. I think that people forget that it’s not just makeup. Your hair can actually transform you too,' she said referring to her role in the hit drama.
