A 'supercomputer' has predicted a fan favourite may not win this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

Comedian Chris McCausland, 47, who has been a front runner so far this series, may miss out on winning the Glitter Ball Trophy according to data analysis.

Chris was scoring high on the Strictly leaderboard with his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell, 35, until last week's Halloween routine were the couple came in joint last place with a score of 26.

According to new data from BonusCodeBets.co.uk, it seems Chris is at a disadvantage as the winners are typically 31-year-old actors, which has suggested EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick will win the 2024 trophy.

In last week's performance, Jamie scored a staggering 38 alongside his dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas.

This data comes after Chris took a joking swipe at BBC producers after a last minute shake-up on the show's timetable left him panicked.

The comedian appeared on Strictly's spin-off show It Takes Two after he was the first celebrity to take to the dance floor on Halloween week.

Chris and Dianne opened the show with a classic Samba to the Bee Gees 1970's disco tune Stayin' Alive.

While discussing his performance Fleur East, 37, asked the star if it was 'nerve-wracking' being the first celebrity on the dance floor, and he certainly didn't seem happy.

He then made a dig at show bosses and warned that he would be 'having words' if he had to do it again.

The comedian joked: 'It was horrible. I didn't like going on first and if they put me on first again, we're gonna be having words.'

The star claimed that by being the first person to dance, he lost out on valuable rehearsal time with his partner.

Chris stated: 'My routine went out the window.'

However, last week's performance scored a low 26 during Halloween week

The new data from BonusCodeBets.co.uk has suggested that EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick will win the 2024 trophy

The comedian joked: 'It was horrible. I didn't like going on first and if they put me on first again, we're gonna be having words'

'If people realise at home, before you go on, you go and have a little run through your dance in the little training space. And then you go out and do the dance.

'When you're on first [you] don't get any of that. You have to just be in a queue.

'And when you're in a queue, you think, and the more I thought, the more I realised I don't know this dance, I had a panic and a mind blank.'

The star also joked about the judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood who claimed his routine had 'too much bounce'.

After his performance on Saturday evening, Shirley said: 'Now, I never thought I would say in eight years about bounce, but you actually overcooked the bounce.'

Meanwhile, Anton said: 'Your bounce was probably a little too much, it lacked a bit of fluidity.'

Craig added: 'There was a bit of hopping in that Samba which wasn't great.'

He sarcastically quipped: 'I overcompensated with enthusiasm. And basically, you're not allowed to be enthusiastic doing a samba.'

'You're not allowed to have fun. I had too much fun, and I got penalised for it.'

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6:30pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
