The Block auctions are getting underway in Mount Eliza, Victoria on Sunday night.

And the cashed-up buyers are already arriving, with a teaser shared by Channel Nine ahead of the big event revealing that a high-rolling regular is on the set.

IT entrepreneur Danny Wallis is back for another year, after purchasing 14 houses on The Block over the years.

Wallis could be seen stepping out of a vehicle hours before the hammer began to fall.

But more curiously, there were a number of pricey supercars carrying unknown buyers at the scene, including someone in a Lamborghini.

A teaser shared by Channel Nine suggested that there could be a new 'Lambo guy' on the show, and he is ready to drop big bucks.

The original 'Mr Lambo', Adrian Portelli, exited The Block last year, after buying all five houses on the 2024 season.

The billionaire casually dropped $15.03 million in 2024, and has purchased nine Block houses since 2022.

His exit has left the bigger purchases to another regular, Wallis; but the show has been sorely lacking a second big-name buyer.

It appears that a godsend for the series will materialise during Sunday night's competition.

Controversial Block bidder Portelli said last year that he would not return, fuelling speculation that the network had shown him the door.

The Block host Scott Cam previously opened up about rumours surrounding Adrian being banned from the show.

'We didn't ban him; that's something he [Portelli] said,' Scott announced during Fox 101.9's Fifi, Fev and Nick brekkie show.

Scott continued: 'It's a public auction, anyone can turn up, we just kindly said, "What do you reckon… you had a good run on the auctions, why don't we leave it to some families to try and buy the houses".'

Scott made a veiled reference to Portelli's sponsorship of Seven's reality series My Reno Rules.

'[I] think Adrian has gone over to another network to do something anyway, so he wouldn't be coming to our auction if he's doing something over there,' Scott said, adding: 'If he wants to turn up, he can.'

Scott also dismissed a suggestion from host Brendan 'Fev' Fevola that Portelli had 'scared' off notorious Block bidder Wallis, who has spent more than $30 million buying property on the show.

'He hasn't been scared, Danny,' Scott insisted.

'He's a good bloke and he makes a lot of those houses available for My Room. He's a good bloke and if he wants to buy another house like that, that'd be terrific for us.'
