Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard has defended herself against critics who called out the new mom for making money from her pregnancy posts.
The 38-year-old reality TV star welcomed her first child with boyfriend Dr. Turner Kufe earlier this month - revealing that they named their baby daughter, Gemma Britt Kufe.
During a recent appearance on Jason Tartick's Trading Secrets podcast, the star shared her thoughts regarding those who attempted to guilt trip her over her decision to monetize posts relating to her motherhood journey.
The former PR expert explained that a number of her followers had been 'very torn up' about the fact that she did a sponsored post to announce her pregnancy.
Giving insight into her decision, Hubbard stated: 'They were like, "I can’t believe she monetized her pregnancy announcement."
'And it’s like, "Why not? I’m gonna make the announcement anyway, why not make money from it?"'

She continued: 'I used Clearblue, I used the digital test - that was the test I used back in April when I found out I was pregnant.
'So why not go to them and say, "Hey, I used your test, I’m about to announce my pregnancy, do you want to sponsor this?"'
Hubbard proudly revealed that she earned and impressive $28,000 for the paid post, making it her biggest brand collaboration to date.
She then noted: 'This is how I make my money. I’m not doing PR anymore, I’m not sitting behind a desk.'
The star added that her earnings for 2024 have surpassed $100,000 thanks to her willingness to use her PR background in her favor.
Elsewhere, the TV star recently revealed that she is in the process of figuring out her living situation with her boyfriend after welcoming their first child together.
Hubbard clarified that even though they don't live together, they are always together and the decision to move in together is being 'discussed.'
'He has spent the night and has been by my side 24/7 for the entire past month,' she said in an interview with People that was published over the weekend.

Lindsay and her boyfriend started dating a year before they welcomed their baby together.
She explained that they were only a few months into their relationship when she got pregnant and did not want to put more on their plate in addition to having a baby together.
Hubbard - who separated from ex-fiancé Carl Radke last year with their breakup airing on the Summer House's season eight finale - explained that she wanted to take it slow, even though they did things 'a little out of order.'
'If there's anything that I've learned from my past, especially in my last relationship, it's that nothing is guaranteed,' she said.
'And when you get pregnant so quickly into dating, I didn't want to put more pressure on our relationship than a pregnancy and a baby is already putting that - very big, lifelong pressure.
'I would love to say, "One step at a time." And, yes, it's a little backwards and it's a little out of order, but I wasn't about to add to the to-do list.'
She explained that they have been talking about moving in general with consideration of their baby's future.
She also suggested that moving in together could happen sooner rather than later considering that the lease on her current place will end next year.
The TV star hit back: 'And it’s like, "Why not? I’m gonna make the announcement anyway, why not make money from it?"'

'My lease is up in June,' she explained. 'We talk a lot about school districts and making those decisions based off of where we might want to send Gemma to school.'
At the moment, Hubbard said that they spend the majority of their time at her place anyway, so they are heading in that direction - just at their own pace.
'And even though technically this is my apartment, this is our HQ for the home of our daughter and me,' she told the outlet.
'He basically brought over a bunch of clothes and toiletries and is essentially going between my apartment and his apartment, but rarely ever leaves me and Gemma,' she said.
