Summer House's Kyle Cooke Speaks Out After Amanda Batula Breakup

Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke are heading towards a new horizon.

Indeed, the Summer House star offered her first update since she and her husband of four years announced their breakup on Jan. 19.

“We’re good,” Amanda said on the Jan. 27 episode of SiriusXM’s Front Row, which was a joint appearance with her, Kyle and their fellow Summer House cast members. “What’s next?”

Further elaborating on her status with Kyle, Amanda noted that separating has allowed them to live and work amongst each other more amicably.

“It’s been easier to get along, but we’re good,” she said. “We talk all the time. We’re traveling, so I’m watching the dogs. He’s watching the dogs. We’re coparenting the dogs together. I still call him if I have questions.”

Though her inquiries aren’t always ones Kyle is able to solve.

“Yeah, her smoke alarm was going off,” the 43-year-old said with a laugh. “I’m like maybe call your building management.”

For Kyle, he too has noticed the shift in their relationship since coming together to announce their breakup.

“I think every step we’ve taken, there’s a little bit of a weight has been lifted,” he said. “And ironically, I feel like this last week, having kinda pressed post together, it felt like a little more light, lighthearted.”

He continued, "More than anything I want her to be happy. I want us both to be happy.”

Kyle and Amanda released a joint statement announcing the news of their split on Jan. 19 ahead of the season 10 premiere of Summer Housewhich will highlight the rocky points in their romance.

“After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple,” they shared in a joint statement posted to their Instagram Stories in part. “We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing.”

Just days after sharing the news, Kyle—who married Amanda in September 2021broke his silence and shared the hard part of navigating the breakup.

"It's a lot to swallow when your entire relationship from the very, very beginning was on TV,” the businessman told Adam Glyn in a Jan. 22 TikTok video. “We knew it wasn't gonna be easy," he continued. "There's still a lot of love. It's both the hard part, but also, it's making this easier for the both of us."

What’s more, Kyle shared he and Amanda wanted to get ahead of the speculation before season 10 premiered.

"It's a tough topic," he revealed. "We're gonna get asked a thousand questions about our relationship based on the trailer, so we decided to rip the band-aid off."
