Jennifer loves TV, especially science fiction. She also loves late-night talk shows, due to her insomnia. Alien: Earth is definitely one of her favorite shows, and she jumps on any chance she gets to write about it. Even on her days off, she will claim an Alien Earth article if one is available.

Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon are two of her favorite late-night hosts, and Conan O'Brien before he left his show.

Her Alien: Earth coverage for ScreenRant is by far the work that she is most proud of so far.

She was initially a finance and political editor, but her passion for pop culture convinced her to transition into entertainment journalism.

During her off time, she loves to binge-watch cooking shows such as Kitchen Nightmares. Jennifer also loves spending time with her daughter and cherishes every moment of it.

Steven Spielberg's The Dinosaurs has surged to the top of Netflix’s domestic streaming chart, giving the critically acclaimed director another major streaming success.

Netflix has released hit after hit when it comes to documentaries, docuseries, and docudramas in recent years. From true crime and natural history to social commentaries, the streaming platform has done it all. Within the last decade, the company has released incredibly popular projects such as A Friend, A Murderer, The Social Dilemma, and now The Dinosaurs.

The Dinosaurs is a Netflix miniseries produced by Spielberg. The four-part documentary is narrated by Morgan Freeman and follows the titular creatures throughout their time on the planet, taking viewers on a journey from the very beginning until the bitter end. While the show just debuted on March 6, 2026, it is already number 1 on the streaming platform's Top 10 chart at the time of this article's publication.

The series' success could be due to the fascination that people have with dinosaurs. The extinct species have been at the center of several major films and TV shows, most notably the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World films, which have generations' worth of fans. Viewers' fascination with the creatures turned the IP into a multi-billion-dollar franchise, making it one of the most commercially successful science fiction properties in cinematic history.

Freeman's iconic voice likely contributed to The Dinosaurs' popularity. He not only has a very recognizable and easy-to-listen-to voice, but he is also arguably one of the most beloved actors in the entertainment industry. Additionally, Freeman has narrated several other documentaries that are similar in theme. He was featured in National Geographic's March of the Penguins and Netflix's Life on Our Planet.

The Dinosaurs landing at the number one spot on Netflix's US charts suggests that viewers remain eager for natural history programming, especially when it combines well-known names like Freeman and Spielberg with impressive visual effects technology. And, it also proves that the public's interest in dinosaurs remains as enduring as it ever was.

The Dinosaurs is available to stream now on Netflix.
