Stephen Dorff has sparked fresh romance speculation after he was spotted enjoying a late-night outing in Los Angeles with Jason Isbell's ex wife Amanda Shires.

The actor, 52, was photographed walking hand-in-hand with the musician as the pair arrived at the Chateau Marmont, one of Hollywood’s most storied celebrity hotspots.

Dorff kept his look low-key and rugged, wearing a worn brown leather jacket layered over a white T-shirt and open blue button-down, paired with light-wash jeans and black and green sneakers.

He topped off the ensemble with a baseball cap as he walked closely beside his companion.

Shires, 43, appeared effortlessly chic in an all-black outfit, stepping out in a leather jacket, cropped trousers and pointed heels.

She carried a structured black handbag and wore her dark hair loose, glancing down as the pair made their way along the sidewalk together.

Neither Dorff nor Shires has publicly commented on the nature of their relationship.

The sighting comes two years after Shires’ high-profile split from country star Jason Isbell, which sent shockwaves through the Americana and country music world.

In February 2024, Isbell, 46, filed for divorce from Shires after nearly 11 years of marriage.

The former couple share one daughter, Mercy, nine.

Irreconcilable differences were cited in the divorce paperwork, which was filed in Tennessee.

Despite separating in December 2023, the country stars only finalized their divorce in March, 2025.

Throughout their marriage, Isbell and Shires frequently collaborated professionally, with Shires providing backup vocals for Isbell’s band, while Isbell played guitar for Shires’ band, The Highwomen.

Both artists have spoken candidly over the years about the challenges in their relationship, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.

‘It doesn’t matter if you’re a quasi-famous person like Jason or me, everybody’s relationships are the same; there’s ups and downs and there’s good and bad and you just try to deal with it,’ Shires told People in 2022. ‘Life’s not easy, marriage isn’t easy, but aren’t we lucky to be able to live.’

Isbell previously reflected on that turbulent period in a 2020 interview with The New York Times, admitting that working on his album Reunions caused him to retreat emotionally.

‘At one point, I said, “It’d be easier if somebody had cheated,”’ he said at the time. ‘But it was more like, “We don’t know each other right now. We’re not able to speak the same language.”’

During that stretch, Shires temporarily moved into a hotel to create space, later channeling the strain into her music - including her song Fault Lines, which references the emotional disconnect the couple experienced.

Despite reconciling after that low point and attempting to make their marriage work over the following three years, the pair ultimately decided to part ways.
