Steam Officially Kicks Off June With Free Game You Have 24 Hours To Keep Forever

If there are any Steam gamers out there (I believe there are at least one or two of you), I thought I'd draw your attention to a new limited-time freebie you have just 24 hours to claim. I know that if you're anything like me, your backlog is probably begging for mercy, but this is one game you'll want to add to your library while you can.

Developed by Made With Strings and released back in 2019, Moonrise Fall is an "atmospheric exploration puzzle game about a boy who finds himself lost in a supernatural forest after losing both parents in a car crash." You're asked to put your detective skills to the test and explore a strange world brought to life by some really striking pixel art.

"Put your detective skills to the test. Armed with a clue-filled journal, a camera, and a lantern, he must unravel the mysteries of the forest and photograph the strange creatures that reside there. A surreal, understated experience about loss and finding new life inspired by real-life experiences. Uncover locations like caves, mines, a lumber mill, and otherworldly locales at your own pace. Obviously, Moonrise Fall didn't set the world on fire when it launched in 2019. All the more reason for you to take a look at it now. It doesn't have a ton of reviews, but most seem to agree it's a charming adventure with a unique vibe all of its own. The game will remain completely free to download and keep in your library forever until June 2 at 6pm, so you'll want to move quickly.
