Star Wars Legend Grogu Returning With Ultimate New Collector's Item

Colloquially known as Baby Yoda by fans, Grogu was first introduced in Disney's The Mandalorian and has since gone on to become one of the most iconic figures in Star Wars history. Despite the name, Grogu is not Yoda, but shares the same species and, as such, has a strong connection to the Force. During the events of The Mandalorian, a lone bounty hunter must protect Grogu from the Imperial Forces.

Remembered for his adorable looks, Grogu has his fair share of fans, so it is perhaps no wonder that this upcoming release will see customers flocking in their thousands.

Created by Hasbro, Ultimate Grogu is now available for pre-order thanks to a collaboration with Disney Consumer Products. This marks the first-of-its-kind animatronic of the beloved Star Wars: The Mandalorian character, with the 1:1 scale premium animatronic Grogu being perfect for fans, collectors, and cosplayers who want their own little guy at their side.

Announced back in April, the Ultimate Grogu figure features built-in motors, sensors, and microphones to deliver over 250 animations and sounds. Additionally, it includes "three different modes of play which include endearing movements like waving, giggling and even “toddling” forward, in ways that make him incredibly life-like." Add some incredible screen-accurate details, a soft fabric robe, chainmail, cross strap, satchel and beskar rondel armor, and you have a lifelike iteration of the beloved Star Wars character.

“Our goal with Ultimate Grogu was to make fans feel like he’s truly part of their world,” said Adam Biehl, Head of Disney Action Brands at Hasbro. “Our design and development team spent hours studying how the character came to life in The Mandalorian series, striving to capture his personality and movements in a way that honors what Lucasfilm delivered in entertainment. Powered by our long-standing collaboration with Disney Consumer Products, we’re launching the most life-like, interactive, and expressive Grogu character Hasbro has ever created.”

Now available for pre-order now on Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, and Fan Channel retailers, Ultimate Grogu will begin shipping in early 2027. However, if you wish to get your hands on him even sooner, you can grab the limited First Edition, which arrives alongside special edition packaging and a collector card, and will begin shipping late 2026.

So, if you are a big fan of The Mandalorian, and an even bigger fan of Grogu, you will want to check out this upcoming figure, but with a £599.99 price tag, that may be easier said than done.
