Its Metacritic score is sitting at a comfortable 73, with a generally favorable user score of 7.8, with much of the criticism concerning the technical glitches that GSC has worked to mostly overcome. Its realism, survival mechanics, and frightening horror have made many players overlook these issues to immerse themselves in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone.
STALKER 2 is a great game, but one recurring scenario in the game doesn't have a big enough payoff, and I wish they could make a change.
