Spy x Family is bringing the Forger family back to the stage for another major adventure. Toho Stage has unveiled a full trailer for Spy x Family 2, the second theatrical adaptation of Tatsuya Endo’s hit manga. The new production expands on two fan-favorite storylines, putting Yor, Loid, Anya, and Bond at the center of a much larger mission.
The sequel arrives at an especially interesting point for the franchise. Spy x Family Season 3 has already finished, while CloverWorks and Wit Studio have yet to announce Season 4. Meanwhile, the manga only recently returned from a brief June 2026 hiatus. That makes the stage sequel one of the biggest new ways fans can experience the Forger family this year.
Spy x Family 2 Adapts Two Major Manga Arcs
Spy x Family 2 draws its story from the Luxury Cruise Ship and Bomb Dog arcs, with the production dividing its plot into two acts. The first follows Anya after she asks for a dog and attends a rescue event, where a terrorist plot against the West’s Foreign Minister unfolds in the background.
The second act moves onto the Princess Lorelei cruise ship, where Yor takes on a dangerous assignment. She must protect Olka Gretcher, a mother and survivor connected to an Ostanian mafia family. By coincidence, Loid and Anya board the same ship after winning cruise tickets through a shopping mall raffle.
That setup gives Spy x Family 2 a distinctly theatrical mix of espionage, comedy, family chaos, and action. It also brings some of the series’ most recognizable characters together in one location. The new trailer specifically focuses on Anya and Bond sharing the stage, promising plenty of the unlikely duo’s charm alongside the production’s more serious conflicts.
The New Stage Production Features A Large Cast
Image via Toho Co. Ltd.Toho’s Spy x Family sequel uses multiple performers for several major roles, reflecting the scale of the production. Win Morisaki and Kento Kinouchi alternate as Loid Forger, while Fuka Yuzuki and Kiho Maaya share the role of Yor. Anya has three performers: Rana Izutani, Kanau Kozano, and Reika Mano, ensuring the character can appear throughout the demanding stage schedule.
The supporting cast also gives the two arcs their own threats and personalities. Toru Isono plays Keith Kepler, the terrorist leader connected to Act 1. Hitomi Arisa portrays Olka Gretcher, while Tatsumine Tanso and Kaito Arai play the principal assassin and information broker introduced during the cruise storyline.
Seiki Kamada appears as Westalian Foreign Minister Brantz, while Manato Asaka and Haruka Manase alternate as Sylvia Sherwood, the intelligence manager who oversees Twilight’s spy network. With such extensive dual and triple casting, the production is designed to sustain performances across a national tour without reducing the roles that make the story work.
Spy x Family 2 Is Touring Through December
Image via Toho Co. Ltd.The Spy x Family sequel began with preview performances from September 9 through September 11 at Westa Kawagoe’s Yaoko Grand Hall before moving into its main run. Its Tokyo performances at Tokyo Tatemoto BRILLIA Hall are scheduled to continue through October 29, 2026, giving Japanese audiences several weeks to see the adaptation in person.
The production then heads to Hakataza Theater in Fukuoka City beginning November 7. Its nationwide tour wraps up during December, with additional performances in Hyogo and Aichi Prefecture scheduled from December 1 through December 29. Tickets are being sold through Toho One, making the stage sequel a substantial franchise event rather than a one-off production.
For Spy x Family fans outside Japan, the stage play also provides a reminder of how broadly Endo’s series has expanded beyond animation. The manga remains available in English through VIZ Media, while the anime streams on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Netflix. With Spy x Family 2 now on the road, the Forgers still have plenty of missions ahead.
