After Taylor Swift was booed by the crowd at the 2025 Super Bowl—held at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome Feb. 9—sports commentator Erin Andrews came to her defense.

Philadelphia Eagles' Saquon Barkley Slams Taylor Swift Hate After She Gets Booed at Super Bowl

Unlike Taylor Swift, Erin Andrews refuses to accept that haters gonna hate.

During the 2025 Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles—during which the Birds took home the trophy—the Grammy winner was booed by the crowd after the jumbotron at Caesars Superdome panned to her and Ice Spice in the stands.

And while Taylor—who was at the game in support of boyfriend Travis Kelce—reacted gracefully, sharing a quick glance at the “Boy’s a Liar” singer before laughing it off, others quickly came to her defense.

“I feel bad for the most famous, amazing woman in the world who f--king gets booed at the Super Bowl,” Erin said during a Feb. 11 episode of her and Charissa Thompson’s podcast Calm Down With Erin and Charissa. “Get out of here!”

As for her cohost, who is an Eagles fan herself, the reaction from the superstar’s fellow spectators didn’t seem all that malicious. After all, Taylor did gather her girl squad to cheer on the Chiefs tight end.

“I love the fandom. Eagles are proud fans,” Charissa said in the episode. “They are gonna hate her on that day because you’re rooting for your team.”

Even so, she went on to express just how impressed she was by Taylor’s unbothered reaction.

“She handles everything so well,” she added. “And so does Travis. He handles this so well.”

As for how the Eagles players felt about the incident? Saquon Berkley chimed in to make it clear that he “didn’t like” how things played out.

“I remember that they showed her on the jumbotron and she got booed,” the team’s running back told Howard Stern on his eponymous SiriusXM show. “I don’t get why she was getting hate there.”

“She’s there supporting her significant other and she’s made the game bigger,” he continued. “In football, we’re all about how we can expand the game and make it more international. We’re traveling to Brazil, Mexico, and Australia soon. [Taylor] being a part of it is only helping that, so I don’t get the slack that she’s getting.”

Extending beyond the world of football, even Serena Williamswho is a known Swiftie—took to social media to serve up some support herself.

“I love you @taylorswift13,” the 23-time Grand Slam singles winner wrote in a recent post to X (formerly Twitter). “Dont listen to those booo!!”

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump—who was also booed by the crowd—had a different take when it came to the “Cruel Summer” singer.

"The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift," Trump—who became the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl—wrote on Truth Social the night of the big game. "She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!"
