Jennifer is a TV and Movie News Editor at ScreenRant. She started her journey in entertainment media in 2022 when she first joined Valnet at CBR before coming to ScreenRant.

Jennifer loves TV, especially science fiction. She also loves late-night talk shows, due to her insomnia. Alien: Earth is definitely one of her favorite shows, and she jumps on any chance she gets to write about it. Even on her days off, she will claim an Alien Earth article if one is available.

Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon are two of her favorite late-night hosts, and Conan O'Brien before he left his show.

Her Alien: Earth coverage for ScreenRant is by far the work that she is most proud of so far.

She was initially a finance and political editor, but her passion for pop culture convinced her to transition into entertainment journalism.

During her off time, she loves to binge-watch cooking shows such as Kitchen Nightmares. Jennifer also loves spending time with her daughter and cherishes every moment of it.

Marvel brings back the '90s with a surprise return from Spider-Man: The Animated Series.

In another collaboration with Hasbro, the two industry giants are continuing to revisit some of their older releases from their Marvel Legends toyline. And one familiar face from Spider-Man: The Animated Series is getting another chance to appear on the shelves of avid collectors. Peter Parker's beloved Aunt May is returning as an individual retro figure after previously being sold as part of a two-pack.

Although this specific iteration of Aunt May first debuted in the 1994 TV show Spider-Man: The Animated Series, her first Hasbro action figure was released in the company's 2023 Spider-Man: The Animated Series VHS-inspired release alongside Doctor Octopus. That set made her available in Marvel Legends form, but collectors who missed the two-pack will soon have another way to add the titular character's aunt to their displays.

This time, May will be packaged by herself on the retro-style Spider-Man cardback used throughout Hasbro’s animated-inspired collection. The presentation brings her in line with the broader assortment of Marvel Legends releases under that line instead of recreating the VHS packaging.

Hasbro is also including four accessories with the figure. May comes with two interchangeable hands, a purse, and a miniature issue of Models, Inc. magazine. The magazine accessory gives the re-release a particularly appropriate connection to the original animated series nearly three decades after its debut.

This release is part of a larger wave of Spider-Man figures revealed during Hasbro’s September 2026 Marvel Legends Fanstream. The lineup will also include Mary Jane Watson, Smythe, and Carnage, giving fans several characters from Spider-Man: The Animated Series to add to their collection.

Pre-orders for the Marvel Legends Aunt May figure are scheduled to open September 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM ET and 10:00 AM PT through Hasbro Pulse and participating retailers. The toy is currently expected to officially be released sometime in Fall 2026.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series originally aired on Fox Kids from November 19, 1994, through January 31, 1998. The show was produced by Marvel Films, and the animation was handled by TMS-Kyokuichi. It became one of the most recognizable animated adaptations of Spider-Man and introduced many viewers to major characters and storylines from the Marvel Universe.

The series, which followed Peter as a college student, was also credited as the first to introduce what is now known as the Spider-Verse, which became a major element in Marvel Comics and MCU projects. Spider-Man: The Animated Series had a storyline that involved multiple versions of Spider-Man from different realities.
