Spencer Matthews has completed his penultimate marathon as he gears up to finish his 30 marathons in 30 days on Tuesday.

Now just twenty-four hours from breaking the world record for the 'most consecutive marathons run on sand,' Spencer says he's most excited to see his family after having 'withdrawals' from them.

The reality star, 36, has run 30 desert marathons in 30 days the Jordanian desert during which he's dined on a boiled goat's head and has lost ten kilos.

He is scheduled to finish his challenge on Tuesday – and his wife Vogue Williams and their three children will be there to meet him.

So far, £259,000 has been pledged to charity but the marathons haven't been without their challenges.

Spencer has been running in daily temperatures of over 30C – he runs at 3.30am local time, to be able to control the temperature of his runs but during the day the average daily high temperature has been 38C with the highest recorded being 44C.

He had a late start on Marathon 28 which saw him running 17 kilometres in 37C heat.

On Monday, he completed his 29th marathon in four hours 28 minutes – one of his quickest times yet.

Speaking to the Mail on Monday, Spencer said when he is finished, he hopes to help make running accessible for all children.

'I daydream all the time, particularly out here, sometimes I'll fall into a two hour daydream when I'm running,' he said.

'It's premature to talk about it but I would love running to be accessible to all children in the UK.

'Whatever, that means I haven't sat down and tried to figure that out yet, but it's probably something that I will look into when I get back, how to make running more accessible for young people.'

Spencer said he has thought about his wife Vogue Williams whilst running 'all the time' and that Taylor Swift has also helped him through.

He said: 'I think about Vogue all the time when I run but I think about her when I run. We listen to great music too. We're Swifties too, by the way. I think Taylor Swift is probably our favourite.

'I can't wait to see my family – Vogue and the kids get here tomorrow - I can't wait for that – I am in withdrawal I think from seeing them. I'm really looking forward to that.'

Meanwhile in the lead up to Vogue greeting him at the finish line, she said: 'I think it's amazing how well Spenno has done.

'We are all so proud of him – and T keeps telling everyone he meets that his Daddy is doing 30 marathons in 30 days.

'The most important part is the amount of money Spenno is raising – Global's Make Some Noise does amazing work and the money will go a long way.'

With the run, the former Made In Chelsea star is also raising money for charity Global's Make Some Noise.

Global's Make Some Noise aims to change lives across the UK by helping people through bereavement, mental health struggles, illness and much more, ensuring nobody is left to face life's toughest challenges alone.
