Madison LeCroy revealed that her husband, Brett Randle, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer around the same time as their first wedding anniversary.
The reality star revealed the news during Thursday's episode of Southern Charm as she shared her fears over his health battle, which came at the end of 2023, a year after they exchanged vows during an intimate ceremony in Mexico.
'I thought, like, how? Like, I’m finally happy,' the hairdresser, 34, said in a confessional interview. 'It’s just scary.'
She proceeded to explain that Randle, 38, underwent surgery to remove a 'three-centimeter nodule.'
Although doctors were able to successfully get rid of his cancer, the firefighter started 'having complications.'

'I feel like we can’t catch a f**ing break,' she told viewers.
During the episode, Randle detailed some of his post-surgical complications as he explained to his wife that it feels like he has a 'marble stuck' when he swallows.
'Well, no, we’ll get you fixed. I’ll kiss and make it better,' she told him with a concerned look on her face after he noted he was planning on seeing a specialist.
Later, she admitted that it's been difficult talking about her husband's cancer to her son Hudson, 12, who she shares with ex Josh Hughes.
'I told Hudson [that] Brett was sick, but I didn’t go into detail about what cancer can do to someone,' she said. 'I try not to let Hudson see me emotional because I have to be strong for my family.'
Later, the TV personality confessed that 'some days' she just wants 'to scream' and that 'anything' can trigger her.
'Whether that be someone saying, "When are you having a child?"' she said. 'We were just kinda starting to plan, but that’s on pause for now.'
Previously, LeCroy told Us Weekly that it had been an 'emotional year' for her family as they are also still grieving the death of her father, Ted LeCroy.
'There’s a few bumps in the road, but we come out on top,' she insisted.

Despite her husband's cancer battle, the reality star stated that married life has been 'wonderful' and she's 'super happy.'
In January 2024, she revealed her father, Ted, passed away with an emotional tribute on Instagram.
'No matter where I am, your spirit will be beside me. I know that no matter what, you will always be with me,' she captioned a black and white photo of them together on her wedding day.
She also called him her 'greatest gift' and 'forever superhero' before noting that his memory would drive her 'forward every day.'
