Elton John and his husband David Furnish hosted their annual Academy Awards viewing party benefitting their AIDS foundation—here’s what stars such as Lola Young and Sam Asghari wore to the bash.

It’s gonna be a long, long time before we’re over this epic bash.
The Elton John AIDS Foundation held its annual Academy Awards viewing party on March 15, and this year it was hosted by the rocker himself, his husband David Furnish as well as pals Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka.
Not only does the Oscars watch party bring together some of Hollywood’s most beloved stars, exciting entertainment and a glamorous red carpet, but the evening also includes an auction that will support the foundation.
Which is why it only makes sense that the attendees—which include Dua Lipa, Keke Palmer, Quinta Brunson, Orville Peck and Sharon Stone—showed up and showed out while walking the carpet at West Hollywood Park. (You can find the Oscars red carpet looks here.)
Among the first stars to attend was Sophia Bush, who stopped the carpet in a full-glam sparkling gown. By her side, her girlfriend Ashlyn Harris scored big in a white suit which she styled with a lacy black bra.
As for the event’s illustrious hosts? Elton and David—who tied the knot in 2014—complemented each other’s looks in black suits while Neil and David opted for navy and red suits, respectively.
The annual viewing party is always a well-attended bash, with many stars opting to attend and support the foundation’s mission in increasing access to healthcare and fighting LGBTQIA stigma.
In fact, one of this year’s performers is Lola Young, explained why she was drawn to the event.

“It’s been incredible getting to know Elton and David, and I’m grateful for the support they’ve show my music,” she said, adding that performing at the party “feels like a special moment in today’s world.”
“Their work to support communities who need it most is so important to me,” the Grammy winner continued, “and I’m proud to be part of a night that helps make a meaningful impact.”
And while the fires in Los Angeles last year impacted the event, David expressed his hopes for a big financial result this year.
“There were a lot of very necessary philanthropic asks for Southern California as a result of the fires,” he told Variety in an interview published March 10. “But our ticket sales are really strong this year. We’ve got a fantastic auction, and we’ve got Neil and David joining us as co-hosts. We’re asking people to be generous.”
And while Elton—dad to his and David’s sons Zachary, 15, and Elijah, 13—has faced some health challenges in recent months, his husband confirmed the “Rocketman” singer is ready to soldier on.
“He’s great,” David confirmed. “He’s battling on. He’s keeping busy and moving forward.”
