Sony Bringing PlayStation: The Concert Music Tour to 200+ Cities

PlayStation fans around the world will have the chance to hear music from some of their favorite games performed live on stage starting next year. Sony on Tuesday announced a world tour of PlayStation: The Concert will begin on April 19 in Dublin and will roll through Europe throughout May.

Although no US dates are yet announced, the company said in a blog post that the world tour will hit more than 200 cities and that venues in the US will be announced soon. A code, PLAYCONCERT24, is available for early ticket access purchases that will start Wednesday, Oct. 16. Tickets will be available to the general public for the European dates on Friday, Oct. 18. Other cities on the European leg of the tour include Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, Prague and London.

Sony says the concerts will feature visuals, surround sound and a mix of classical and modern instruments. The concerts will showcase music from composers who worked on such titles as God of War, The Last of Us, the Horizon games and Ghost of Tsushima -- Bear McCreary, Gustavo Staolalla, Joris De Man and Ilan Eshkeri, respectively.
