Cori Broadus has shared a series of devastating Instagram Story posts as she mourns the death of her 11-month-old daughter, Codi Dreaux.

Over the weekend, Broadus revealed that her baby girl died, just 20 days after being released from the neonatal intensive care unit following months of treatment.

Codi was born three months prematurely in late February 2025, the first child Cori welcomed with her fiancé, photographer Wayne Deuce.

The infant spent much of her short life in the NICU before finally being discharged at the start of the new year.

At the time, Cori shared her joy with followers, writing on January 6: 'She's home,' while thanking fans for their prayers and adding, 'God heard them all.'

Days later, the 26-year-old returned to Instagram with a black-and-white image of herself holding her baby, accompanied by the haunting caption: 'Waiting for someone to tell me to wake up and this is just a bad dream.'

In subsequent Story posts, Broadus reshared the earlier announcement celebrating her daughter's return home from the hospital, writing: '20 days later?! dawg im sick.'

Additional images posted to her Stories showed intimate moments with Codi, including one photo of the baby sleeping beside her, overlaid with the words: 'You were supposed to bury me… not me bury you Codi,' and another that read: 'I want to join you badly.'

Wayne Deuce also shared his own tribute, posting a photo of himself cradling his daughter as she looked up at him.

'I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux,' he wrote. 'But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you,' adding the hashtag #LongLiveCodiDreaux.

Cori later reposted a message from Codi's nurse, who reflected on caring for the infant during her time in the NICU.

'I been sad for 6 days straight,' the nurse wrote. 'Being a nurse has its ups and downs and this is the biggest down I ever experienced.' She added that she had given Codi 'one last bath' without knowing she was 'getting her ready for Heaven.'

Broadus first announced her daughter's early arrival last year while 25 weeks pregnant, revealing that Codi's premature birth was caused by HELLP syndrome - a severe form of preeclampsia.

Cori has lupus, which she has lived with since childhood, and previously suffered a stroke at the start of 2024, describing her pregnancy as high-risk.

Despite the complications, she often spoke lovingly of her daughter's strength.

Last September, while Codi was still in the NICU, Broadus described her as 'feisty,' 'resilient,' and 'a sweet little firecracker,' noting that doctors frequently remarked on the baby's alertness and determination.

Cori is the youngest daughter of Snoop Dogg, born Calvin Broadus, whom he shares with his wife of 28 years, Shante Broadus.

Dogg recently broke his silence following the tragedy by sharing a family photo featuring Cori alongside her brothers Corde and Cordell.

The rapper captioned the image simply with a pink heart emoji and praying hands, a quiet show of support as the family grieves the unimaginable loss.
