As Bob Dylan fans await Timothée Chalamet‘s portrayal of the folk music legend, Chloe Fineman has reprised her portrayal of Chalamet.
On this weekend’s Saturday Night Live, she played the Oscar nominee in Buzzfeed’s red carpet coverage of the A Complete Unknown premiere, which also featured appearances from Dylan (James Austin Johnson), Bruce Springsteen (Andrew Dismukes) and Bono (host Paul Mescal).
“My forever babygirl, Timmy, is it safe to say you had a brat summer?” asks Heidi Gardner as Buzzfeed reporter Lacey Shay.
Fineman gave her signature Chalamet as she responded, “Oh man, ahhh! This is crazy! It’s nuts, man, it’s nuts. Wow!”
As Dylan, Johnson responded to the same question with a confused “what?” before answering nearly incoherently. “That about sums up my sausage consumption,” he concludes.
“Bob, it’s not about bratwurst, man! Ahhh, I love this guy,” exclaimed Fineman.
Dismukes’ Springsteen teased Dylan after a trip to the buffet, waxing poetic about how he related to Chalamet’s Wonka. As Bono, Mescal joined them with tiramisu in hand before giving a typical Bono answer to the “brat summer” question.
“I didn’t have a brat summer. I could not possibly, because of the sweltering heat brought on by climate change. We must act now. I just saw a documentary about the devastating effects of global warming. It was called Hot Frosty.”
Lacey then asked them to rank Rory’s boyfriends from Gilmore Girls. “Jess, Logan, Dean,” they said in perfect unison before shuffling off.
Premiering Dec. 25 in theaters, co-writer/director James Mangold’s A Complete Unknown follows an enigmatic 19-year-old from Minnesota who arrives in NYC in 1961 with his guitar and revolutionary talent, destined to change the course of American music. He forges intimate relationships with music icons of Greenwich Village on his meteoric rise, culminating in a groundbreaking and controversial performance that reverberates worldwide.
