‘SNL’ Promo: Ryan Gosling Thinks He’s Joining the Five-Timers Club, But There’s Just One Problem…

In his life and career, one assumes that Ryan Gosling doesn’t often get denied.

It’s understandable, then, that the actor, who hosts Saturday Night Live this weekend, would assume he will become a member of the exclusive five-timers club, which consists of hosts who have fronted the venerable show at least five times.

Gosling gets into the concept in a new promo, searching out a coveted First-Timers Club smoking jacket and then roaming the halls outside Studio 8H wreaking havoc, harassing the cast and generally playing the big shot. That is until he’s caught riding a stuffed horse by Mikey Day, whom he repeatedly calls “Michael.”

Day not only registers his annoyance with the preening Gosling, he quickly bursts the actor’s bubble.

Gosling hosts SNL this Saturday, March 7 at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and Peacock with musical guest Gorillaz.
