With The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim being the most recent The Elder Scrolls title from Bethesda, despite first being released way back in 2011, it is perhaps no wonder that its popularity is going strong. After all, with Bethesda head Todd Howard admitting that The Elder Scrolls VI was announced too soon and eluding to the fact that it is nowhere near launch, fans are having to make do with what they have already got in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Luckily, its modding community has been at the forefront of bringing new and exciting content to the game for the past decade, so much so, that telling somebody that you play vanilla Skyrim is like telling them that pigs can fly. Whether it is simple mods that add unlimited inventory space, or mods that completely overhaul the game, there are thousands of ways to experience The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a completely new way.
As with any AAA game on PC, modders will get straight to work on improving, enhancing, and adding more content to the game. However, studios such as CD Projekt RED, Avalanche Software, and in this case, Bethesda, offer fans the chance to make mods "officially" thanks to Creation Kits. This allows them to use official tools to help with mod creation, as well as giving studios the chance to showcase the fantastic work of modders by sharing the mods with the overall fanbase.
That is the case for the Skyrim Creation website, which showcases all the modder's incredible free downloads which can be added to your The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim save without any fuss. As such, mods such as Choir of the Null can deserve the attention they deserve.
Created by Phereniki, Choir of the Null is a The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim mod which adds a mysterious sealed door to the fantasy world. Available across all platforms, the mod description reads as follows:
Behind a sealed door lies what remains of the Choir of the Null, a forgotten monastic splinter order devoted to silence, negation, and the rejection of identity. They believed self-erasure to be not a spiritual act but a structural one. Their doctrine was shaped by fragmentary writings describing a Daedric principle associated with absolute order. They did not worship. They practiced. Reducing habit, declaration, and presence through discipline until nothing remained that could be taken away.
Now, a solitary scholar sits in Dawnstar having spent years trying to piece together with the Choir attempted once upon a time. However, although he holds the key, it remains unused. That is until you appear. Choir of the Null features the Practiced Absence quest, which you begin by speaking to Archivist Halren at the Windpeak Inn in Dawnstar. Not only that, but completing the quest will reward you with new armor and weapons, new spell tomes, and books to explore the lore further.
So, if you are looking for yet another reason to return to the familiar sights of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, make sure to check out the stunning Choir of the Null mod now.
