Daisy Kelliher had a disastrous charter season on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, and there are signs she won't return. The Chief Stew joined the crew on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 after Jenna MacGillivray's departure. While Daisy was typically hailed as a skilled, professional, and sarcastic leader, she hit rocky waters beginning in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4. After hooking up with First Mate Gary King off-screen, she engaged in a boatmance with former Chief Engineer Colin Macrae, which made Gary jealous.
Daisy confronted Gary in the season premiere regarding his lack of friendship in the wake of her breakup with Colin, and while he never really apologized, he provided context for his reticence throughout the season. Gary repeatedly continued to express his romantic feelings for Daisy, who then fell for Deckhand Keith Allen. After Gary's continued struggles with sobriety, Daisy felt emboldened in her choice to stay friends with Gary despite their closeness. Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 just ended, but Daisy's future is still in question.
Daisy Disobeyed Captain Glenn
She's Gotten Unprofessional
Daisy used to be a portrait of professionalism when she first started on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, but now, she's behaving just as badly as Gary. On the second to last charter of the season, Daisy blatantly disobeyed Captain Glenn Shephard's orders. The charter guests requested the crew go out with them on their last night, but some yachties had to stay behind to keep things running aboard the Parsifal III. Much to Diana Cruz and Danni Warren's chagrin, Daisy chose herself as the interior crew member who would go ashore for a good time.

Captain Glenn asked Gary, Keith, Daisy, and Chase Lemacks, the crew members who would party with the guests, to adhere to two rules: they could only consume two drinks and had to be back on the boat by 2 a.m. While everyone arrived on time, only Chase followed the rules. Keith and Daisy had four drinks, and bad boy Gary had ten. Daisy promptly apologized to Captain Glenn the next day, but her blatant insubordination was a shocking departure from her past behavior.
Captain Glenn let Keith, Daisy, and Gary off easy for their bad behavior. He should have been stricter with them.
Daisy let Gary's troublemaking ways rub off on her during Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5. She should be held to a higher standard than the other stews because of her standing, experience, and age, but she set a poor example. Production and Captain Glenn might consider this when reviewing her contract for next season.
Daisy Had A Rough Charter Season
Diana And Danni Hated Her
Daisy had a tough charter season that might inspire her to leave the show voluntarily. From the beginning, Danni and Diana questioned her leadership and were openly insubordinate. Daisy didn't like to assign Stews by rank in previous seasons, but it led to confusion and animosity between Danni and Diana. Neither wanted to clean the cabins, preferring to tend the bar or provide service. They thought they could do Daisy's job better than she could, even though Diana didn't know how to make cocktails.
Danni and Diana made Daisy's charter season almost unbearable.
Daisy tried to remain professional, but Danni and Diana were too incompetent and hostile to ignore. Thus, Daisy ended up treating them with malice, leading her Stews to openly rebel. She probably still has Captain Glenn on her side, but after her drinking error, Daisy may have fallen from his good graces. Rather than risk whiny and lazy Stews like Danni and Diana, Daisy might prefer to leave the industry.
Daisy Is More Focused On Being An Influencer
She Doesn't Need Yachting Anymore
Daisy doesn't need yachting anymore; she's become famous enough to do anything she wants. She has over 437,000 followers, and her posts regularly amass thousands of likes and dozens of comments. Daisy threw shade at Danni on a recent Instagram post, captioning, "Just a scaly ice cold b**** trying to do her job," a direct jab at the young stew. Fans were supportive of Daisy in the comments, saying, "This is a GenZ problem, not a Daisy problem," and, "Honestly, how dare you make them work the job they were hired to do," followed by crying laughing emojis.
"Honestly, how dare you make them work the job they were hired to do."
Danni called out Daisy in the last episode, but Daisy got the last laugh. She recently appeared alongside fan-favorite Aesha Scott on Watch What Happens Live. Additionally, Daisy is taking control of her personal life by freezing her eggs and sticking by her sister in the wake of her life-threatening accident in Thailand. Daisy has better things to do these days than manage whiny stews who can't handle their job description.
Will Gary And Daisy Finally Get Together?
She And Keith Broke Up
Daisy and Gary's chemistry on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 was palpable, but will they finally get together? Gary struggled with his sobriety in the latest season, causing Daisy to question her romantic feelings for him. She preferred the company of Keith, who was levelheaded, mature, and kind. However, Daisy recently shared on her Instagram that she and Keith are no longer together, saying, "Keith and I dated casually for a year after filming. We explored the idea of a relationship but because of a few different reasons but mainly distance we decided to go our separate ways."
"Keith and I dated casually for a year after filming. We explored the idea of a relationship but because of a few different reasons but mainly distance we decided to go our separate ways.
I know everyone is invested in my life so I wanted to share some of our memories together.
We remain good friends."
Gary and Daisy showed various forms of intimacy throughout the season. They often held hands in their shared cabin before going to bed. Daisy also supported Gary's sobriety and encouraged him to be a better person. They have chemistry on-screen and have similar personalities. If Gary can stick to a sober lifestyle, perhaps he and Daisy can finally be together. That would be the boatmance of a lifetime and the only reason for Daisy to return to Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 6.
