She crossed the world for G Flip. Then came the shock split: Insider reveals Chrishell Stause's sacrifices before she was blindsided

Chrishell Stause and G Flip's split after three years of marriage has left fans stunned.

Now, an insider has revealed how the Selling Sunset star repeatedly travelled to Australia to support her singer wife, whose real name is Georgia Claire Flipo, as their careers took them to opposite sides of the world – and was eventually left feeling like she was the one 'making the effort'.

The 45-year-old Netflix star confirmed on Monday that her relationship with the non-binary artist, 33, had come to an end, admitting she was still in love and did not fully understand the reasons behind their separation.

According to TMZ, G Flip, who uses they/them pronouns, made the decision to end the relationship, with sources close to the couple confirming to the Daily Mail that they did indeed initiate the break-up.

While the couple appeared stronger than ever just days before their split, sources told the Mail that Chrishell went to extraordinary lengths to carve out time with G Flip amid the musician's demanding tour schedule, as the pair fought to keep their marriage thriving despite long stretches apart.

The two were joined at the hip earlier this month, with Chrishell travelling to Australia to cheer on G Flip as they headlined the Yours and Owls Festival in Wollongong on October 3 and 4.

Chrishell shared footage to her Instagram Stories showing her backstage as G Flip encouraged fans to put away their phones and capture physical memories with Instax cameras rather than images lost in a camera roll.

'It's so sad they seemed so happy when I saw them in Wollongong together,' a music industry insider told the Mail on Tuesday.

'G's got heaps of Aussie shows this month and is staying here for the time being,' they added.

'Chrishell was always the one coming down and making the effort to be with them and make it work.'

Indeed, Chrishell has become something of a regular fixture Down Under since striking up her romance with the Melbourne-born musician.

The American reality star has repeatedly made the long journey from Los Angeles to Australia, joining G Flip at major industry events, including the ARIA Awards, and supporting their performances around the country.

She even took on a presenting role with Stan, hosting the reunion special for the dating series Love Triangle, which aired in 2025.

The streaming gig gave Chrishell another professional connection to Australia, where G Flip has continued to build their music career.

'Chrishell really embraced Australia because it was such a huge part of G's life. She wasn't just flying in for the odd holiday,' the insider continued.

'She was coming over for shows, awards nights and spending time with G whenever she could.

'Chrishell even started taking on work here, like the Love Triangle reunion. She was making a real effort to build a life that worked for both of them, even though her own career was based in America.'

Despite the demands of their respective careers, there had been little indication publicly that anything was wrong.

The couple appeared loved-up in a recent social media video as they prepared for a date night, giving fans every reason to believe their romance was still going strong.

The footage has since taken on a heartbreaking turn following Chrishell's tearful announcement.

'That's why it's come as such a shock. They were still going on dates and looking happy together. From the outside, there was nothing to suggest they were about to call it quits.'

'Chrishell always seemed completely devoted to G. She was so proud of everything they were achieving and genuinely loved being part of their world. Nobody expected things to end like this.'

The timing of the break-up is particularly surprising given Chrishell had also recently spoken about moving on from another major chapter of her life.

Last Thursday, the reality star revealed she had no plans to watch the upcoming tenth season of Selling Sunset after leaving the hit Netflix series following nine seasons.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at its Creator A-List Party, Chrishell insisted she held no ill will towards the show that made her a household name.

'And I don't mean that in a bad way,' she said.

'I hope they have an amazing season. I'll have lawyers let me know if there's defamation, but I feel like, to be honest with you, if you love something, let it go.'

Chrishell broke down in tears in an emotional Instagram video on Monday, telling followers she and G Flip had separated.

'I have a pretty humbling update to share with you guys,' she began.

'G and I are no longer together, and we have agreed to treat this public separation with love and respect for each other. That's not hard for me because I am in love with this person.'

Perhaps most tellingly, Chrishell admitted she did not have 'all the information or the reasons' behind the break-up, suggesting she was still trying to make sense of what had happened.

The reality star also confessed she felt 'a little bit of a failure' as she struggled to hold back tears.

'There's nothing you could say about me that would be worse than what I say to myself,' she said.

'I just have to kind of heal and figure this out. It's hard. It's painful.'

Despite her heartbreak, Chrishell made it clear her feelings for the Aussie performer had not changed.

'I will always love G, and I don't ever really see that changing,' she said.

G Flip, who uses they/them pronouns, later confirmed the separation in a statement of their own.

'I will always love her, we will always share a special connection and I cherish our memories together deeply,' the musician wrote.

The pair first went public with their romance in May 2022, before exchanging vows in an intimate, non-legally binding ceremony in Las Vegas in 2023.

They later celebrated their relationship with further ceremonies in Australia and Los Angeles.

Throughout their romance, the couple had also been open about their hopes of starting a family, with Chrishell previously discussing their IVF journey and desire to become parents.

Stause was previously married to This Is Us alum Justin Hartley, but their bitter divorce was finalised in 2021 after nearly two years of wedded bliss.

The breakup comes as G Flip prepares for another busy stretch of Australian performances, including an appearance in Margaret River on October 31 and support slots on Robbie Williams' upcoming stadium tour.
