Sharon Osbourne reveals she is planning a biopic on the 'fascinating' life of her late rock star husband Ozzy and says she feels 'blessed' for their long marriage

Sharon Osbourne is planning a biopic on the colourful life of her rock star husband following his death last summer, she exclusively told the Daily Mail.

The TV legend, 73, said she feels 'blessed' to have had such a long time with her late husband - and now wants to share his 'fascinating' story with the world.

Speaking at Sony Music's BRITs 2026 afterparty at Soho House Manchester, she said: 'I want to bring Ozzy's life story to the big screen, he lived a very fascinating life. I think that would be great.'

Sharon said that although she is planning a film tribute to Ozzy, she is not yet sure who would play him on screen in the biopic. 

The Brit Awards featured a tribute to the legend of rock, which included messages from Dolly Parton and his longtime collaborator Zakk Wylde.

Reflecting on the touching words from his colleagues, she said: 'Ozzy adored Dolly [Parton], she sang many times on Ozzy's birthday, she would send him messages singing Happy birthday from Dolly.'

Robbie Williams, 52, gave an incredible performance with members of Ozzy's band just after Sharon and their daughter Kelly made a heartfelt speech in honour of the late star as he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sharon said: 'It was just touching to have Ozzy's friends to sing for him. Robbie and Zack were his true best friends. Robbie was a true shapeshifter on stage.'

Opening up about her grief journey since losing the Black Sabbath star, last year, Sharon added: 'Over the last few months I told myself how blessed I was to have him in my life and to have it so long with him. 

'Some people lose their love of their life after a few years, but I had him for 47 years. It's like, come on, get yourself together.'

Other guests at the exclusive, multi-floor celebration included Mark Ronson, who took to the decks, and Dua Lipa, who joined the DJ on dance floor once again.

Also in attendance were former Little Mix member JADE and her boyfriend Jordan Stephens, as well as Vernon Kay and Noel Gallagher.

Noel celebrated his Songwriter of the Year award alongside his daughter Anaïs Gallagher and her boyfriend Callum Scott Howells, plus her cousins Lennon Gallagher and Gene Gallagher.

BRITs viewers praised Robbie's surprising tribute performance to Ozzy on Saturday night - and hailed Sharon for masterminding it.

The Black Sabbath frontman died in July last year aged 76 just two weeks after performing a farewell concert in his hometown of Birmingham.

After he sang on stage viewers were quick to praise Robbie as they penned on social media: 'He was phenomenal!!!',

'This performance was on fire!',  'I think this is the best tribute yet. The pictures along with it too, straight from the heart!!!',

'Robbie did a fab job', 'Sharon this was absolutely incredibly amazing I loved it I love you Sharon.',

'That is a fitting tribute for the Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne the music , the photos, absolutely amazing.',

'Robbie did ozzy justice, phenomenal xx.', 'You did him proud rob it was amazing.', 'Phenomenal performance, I miss Ozzy Osbourne!'

Sharon and Kelly made a heartfelt speech in honour of the late Ozzy as he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The pair were introduced to the stage by Dolly Parton, who appeared in a pre-recorded message from Nashville, ahead of Robbie's performance with members of Ozzy's band. 

Sharon lovingly described her late husband as 'The most humble egomaniac you could ever meet' as Kelly stood supportively beside her. 

The former X factor judge told the crowd: 'I'm honoured to accept this award from my gorgeous husband, this Lifetime Achievement Award. God knows, I wish he was here to accept it himself.'

She went on to say that she knew her late husband would be looking down on them and how he hated speeches, but she couldn't help but 'waffle on' as she regaled the audience with tales of Ozzy's achievements. 

She said: 'He came from a small working class neighbourhood in Birmingham. He rose to become one of the most recognisable and respected musicians of his life, and he was filled with extraordinarily wonderful high times but very, very real low times.

'But he never stopped tirelessly pushing himself to do better. He always wanted to do better both personally and professionally'.

She went on: 'We spent most of our lives touring the world. But Ozzy's heart never left England. Wherever we were in the world, he was always proud to be that working class Brummie, and he never let anyone forget it'. 

Sharon said that she was accepting the award not only for Ozzy but also his 'incredible family' his fellow musicians who helped him along the away, as well as fans who lined the streets of Birmingham during his memorial. 

'If Ozzy was here tonight with us, he would be showing us that gorgeous smile that he had and I know he would be so proud to receive this from the country that he loved. 

'So he may not be here, but he left us one amazing body of work that will never be forgotten by the country that made him.'

Taking the microphone an emotional Kelly said: 'Thank you for loving my father as much as we do.'

Before quipping: 'And I hope I don't disrespect Manchester by saying this. But up the villa and Birmingham' as she threw her support behind her father's beloved football team. 

Following playful boos from the Manchester crowd, Sharon laughed: 'knew you were gonna get that. I told you'.

Then Robbie was then introduced to the stage as he fronted the supergroup alongside Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos and Zakk Wylde for one night only to close the show.

Earlier in the evening Sharon told the Daily Mail how being a grandparent was 'the whole reason to keep going' following Ozzy's tragic death.

As son Jack prepares to welcome his fifth child, second with wife Aree Gearhart, Sharon said of being a grandmother: 'Oh it's the best, its the whole reason to keep going, to put a smile on your face.'

Meanwhile she and Kelly, who is mum to three-year-old Sidney, were both also wearing sweet tributes to the late rocker on their black outfits. 

Sharon showed off a bat shaped broach on her lapel saying: 'It's a pin [he] always wore' while Kelly wore a crucifix which was also owned by Ozzy.
