Apple TV’s Severance and Korean series Marry My Husband were among the recipients of the CJ ENM Visionary Awards.
Hosted last night at the CJ ENM Center in Mapo-gu, Seoul, further recipients of the awards were Boys II Planet, Bon Appétit, Our Unwritten Seoul and Study Group.
The awards fete ‘Visionaries’ whose creative and cultural impact have resonated internationally, whether they are TV shows or films. All the recipients have collaborated with CJ ENM.
Severance Nicholas Weinstock praised the impact of K-content globally over recent years. He added CJ ENM, which owns a majority stake in Severance producer Fifth Season, was “a company devoted to boldness and creativity.”
Adam Scott addressed the event in a video message, saying: “I love playing Mark. It’s the character I’ve been waiting to play my entire career.”
Miky Lee, Vice Chairwoman of CJ Group, addressed the Visionaries in her own video message, saying: “Technology has brought the world closer than ever, but it is stories that truly bring people together. Your stories carry the power to shape the world and inspire the next generation to dream bigger. CJ ENM will be your partner in this journey.”
