We’re a full month out now from season two of One Piece, now subtitled Into the Grand Line. To mark the occasion, Netflix has a fresh new trailer that’s got more of everything it’s been hyping in earlier trailers, including a little bit more Tony Tony Chopper.
The Straw Hats will go on many adventures and see new things in this eight-episode season. For many of them, just making it to the Grand Line and seeing what the larger world has to offer, like a dinosaur island and the inside of a whale, already makes the journey worth it. But there are also bigger threats they’ll go up against: not just the Baroque Works assassins who headlined the last trailer, but also a returning Buggy the Clown and the local ruler of the snowy Drum Island.
Despite the dangers ahead, the trailer wants you to know you’re bound to have a good time when One Piece returns. And to help with that, Netflix will hold a series of global fan screenings and activations in the weeks leading up to the premiere. Starting with Mexico City on February 23, these events run across locations like Los Angeles, Tokyo, and France. As a fun touch, several of these take place in the city where one of the show’s actors was born or where their character hails from: Luffy’s and Zoro’s actors, Iñaki Godoy and Mackenyu, are respectively from Mexico City and LA; Cape Town, South Africa, is where the show is made, and so on.
If you’re interested in attending those events or want to see what they’re offering, you can learn more here. For everyone else, look for Netflix to drop One Piece season two on March 10.
