Sergio Leone's Once Upon A Time In America Is Getting An Origins Movie

Jeff Dodge (he/him), a published author and graduate of Western Washington University, has been a TV news editor for many years and has had the chance to interview multiple reality show stars, including Randy Jackson, Nick Cannon, Heidi Klum, Mel B and John Cena. It's been 42 years since Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in America was released in theaters, but the crime drama will be revisited all these years later in an origins movie.

Leone's daughter, Raffaella, said in a statement that it's about "the story of a man who chases a dream for his entire life. Or, at least, who took 15 years to make a movie and didn't do anything else until he managed to make it. And it's told with my father's irony." She's also serving as producer on the project through her role as co-CEO of Leone Film Group. Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio is also on board as a producer.

Giuseppe Stasi and Giancarlo Fontana have signed on to direct (and co-write with Ludovica Rampoldi and Davide Serino) the untitled movie, which does not yet have a release date.
