Selma Blair shared a cryptic post on social media over the weekend.
On Sunday, the actress, 52, took to Instagram to share photos of a trip she took with her 13-year-old son Arthur Saint Bleick and penned a contemplative caption.
She shares her only child with her ex-boyfriend, fashion designer Jason Bleick — whom she dated from 2010 to 2012.
To escape the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, they appeared to be enjoying a getaway at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes in southern California.
Alongside her photo series, the Cruel Intentions star — who was left shocked after she was mistaken for an A-list pop star at the airport — wrote in her caption: 'It's darkest before the dawn.'
She continued, 'I don't know really if that's true, but I've said it my whole life it seems.'

'I think great things are coming,' she added. 'I'm glad to see it.'
She appeared to be referring to people she knows that have been affected by the devastating wildfires when she wrote: 'I care so much for my loyal friends here.
'And I wish something wondrous for all of us today,' she added. 'Think big. Think bright. And rest in love.'
The cover photo of her post showed her wearing a white, knit sweater with red stripes.
In the snap, she looked forlornly out of the window of a stunning, waterfront property and soaked in the golden hour sunset.
She also included a selfie, which was taken at a later time based on how she had changed into a white button-down and had tied up her blonde hair, of herself in front of another colorful sunset at the same place.
The Hellboy alum shared a snapshot of the idyllic scenery at the resort and also posted a photo of her son Arthur playing with her beloved service dog Scout.
Her teenage son had dyed his hair bleach blonde and was petting Scout as the English Labrador as he jumped on him.

Blair also shared a photo of her son turned away from the camera as he admired the view of the sunset during their getaway.
The Mean Baby author welcomed her service dog Scout into their lives in late 2021, three years after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2018.
Her post comes amid the ongoing wildfires ravaging Los Angeles and just shortly after she shared a health update.
Late last year, Blair revealed that she is in remission for MS, explaining that her health was improving ever since she underwent a bone marrow treatment and made changes in her medications.
'I started feeling really better this last year, and I'm back at work and doing things so I will have things to announce,' she told Variety in November 2024.
She told the outlet that she never thought her health would ever improve so much while dealing with the condition disease that causes breakdown of the protective covering of nerves.
According to the Mayo Clinic, MS can cause numbness, weakness, trouble walking, vision changes and other symptoms.
'I had felt so weak and all the fogs and the movement really made it impossible to go out at night,' Blair told the outlet last year as she recalled how she felt before going into remission.
'I just had no strength,' she continued. 'I didn't think I'd get to feel this grounded.'
Last year, in a video update to UsWeekly, she said: 'Hi. So a lot of people have been asking me how I am doing so great and my movement is so much different, and I really am excited.'

'I want to let people know that — I'm still in remission, I'm feeling great — after the bone marrow transplant, I actually fell into a major relapse.'
The star also explained that an MRI 'lit up flare' and showed 'new lesions' so she had to find a new doctor.
But she felt lucky to have found a 'great one' who put her on an 'amazing' journey with medication.
That has improved her speech and movement.
