Selma Blair has publicly apologized for an in-flight meltdown aboard a Delta flight earlier this month that led to her being arrested and charged with assault.
The Cruel Intentions star, 54, took to Instagram to share a lengthy apology video on Friday afternoon, almost three weeks after the October 11 incident, saying she 'never intended to hurt or frighten anyone.'
'To the people I disappointed, that I hurt, that I frightened, alarmed, I am so sorry,' the actress groveled, staring directly down the camera while sitting in her living room.
Blair has been accused of 'punching and biting' crew members aboard an aircraft bound from Los Angeles to New York, as well as trying to open a plane door mid-flight.
She has since pled not guilty to two counts of second-degree assault stemming from allegedly kicking a Port Authority Police Department officer. She is also accused of kicking a hospital nurse.
Blair's lawyer Shawn Barnes claimed that the star was suffering exhaustion and had missed multiple doses of medication to treat her Multiple Sclerosis before the incident.

Blair, who was clad in sensible slacks and a pale blue button down in her apology Instagram video, began the nearly two-minute clip by saying: 'I know I've been quiet for a couple of weeks and you deserve to hear from me and I'm sorry it's taken this long.'
She subsequently explained that she would not be going into detail about what happened on board the airplane due to ongoing court matters.
'There is a legal matter going on and my lawyers have asked me to not say anything about that day [of the arrest],' she continued. 'I'm listening to them and I take this very seriously. What I can tell you, though, is very simple and the truth.. and that not one day ever have I intended to hurt or frighten anyone.'
After apologizing, the Legally Blonde star thanked fans and followers for their support, saying: 'To the people that have written, that have called, that have sent wishes of love or caring, it has meant everything to me and my son, who is my world.'
The mom-of-one, who shares a 15-year-old named Arthur with ex-boyfriend Jason Bleick, added: 'Right now I am going to be taking care of my health and my son, and thinking of you all with gratitude and love.'
This month's incident was not the first time Blair has hit headlines for her behavior on board an airplane.
Back in 2016, she suffered a 'psychotic blackout' on board a Delta flight from Cancun, Mexico, to Los Angeles after mixing wine with a prescription medication.
The actress was attended to by nurses and eventually removed via a stretcher at LAX, according to reports at the time.
Blair was not arrested over that incident, but subsequently released a statement similarly apologizing for her antics, saying: 'I am a flawed human being who makes mistakes and am filled with shame over this incident. I am truly very sorry.'

Blair's lawyer claimed she missed multiple doses of medication before her shocking alleged mid-air confrontation; She is seen leaving a court in New York on October 12
Blair was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis back in 2018, and has since relied on aggressive medical therapies to keep her symptoms in check.
During an October 12 hearing about the recent airplane meltdown, Blair's lawyer told the court: 'This was not an intentional assault.'
'Ms. Blair missed several doses of … a powerful medication that controls severe neurological symptoms' linked to her battle with multiple sclerosis,' the attorney, Shawn Barnes, claimed.
Barnes said Blair had traveled to New York City after a long workday, in addition to being injured on the flight.
'Ms. Blair boarded this flight after being on set and working extensive hours and exhaustive hours in the days leading up to this flight,' Barnes said. 'Additionally, at one point, during the flight, there was an incident where Miss Blair actually fell and hit her head.'

Barnes said that 'these factors, coupled with the altitude, resulted in a state of severe confusion and disorientation' in the incident.
A Delta representative told The Daily Mail that the company has 'zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior, as the safety of our customers and crew always comes first.'
Blair is slated for a hearing in the matter on January 19.
