Catherine O'Hara gave Jennifer Aniston a run for her money on Sunday night as both ladies wowed in dazzling encrusted gowns on the red carpet of the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.

The Beetlejuice actress, 70, slipped into a nude gown with a sparkling silver encrusted overlay as she posed for snaps amid the glittering, star-studded ceremony.

Catherine teamed her gorgeous gown with a metallic clutch bag and coordinating earrings, while her cropped blonde locks were worn in a chic centre parting.

Meanwhile, Jennifer looked as chic as ever as she slipped into a strapless, encrusted gown for the occasion.

The Friends legend boosted her height with towering white heels while accessorising her look with a diamond bracelet and rings.

Catherine's stunning red carpet turn comes months after she sparked speculation she was using weight loss drug Ozempic following her appearance at the Oscars in March.

Speculation was rife online about who may have taken the drug as celebrity after celebrity walked the Oscars red carpet looking noticeably leaner.

Dr Gary Motykie, a plastic surgeon-to-the-stars in Los Angeles, told DailyMail.com at the time that the crowd appeared to be more 'slimmed-down' than in previous years.

The use of weight-loss drugs in Hollywood has become so rife that Eli Lilly - the maker of Ozempic's rival drug Mounjaro - released an advert earlier this year asking people to stop using the drug for vanity.

Catherine has never mentioned using weight loss drugs and previously said she is actually aiming to avoid having work done as she gets older.

But this did not stop speculation emerging online that she had used weight loss drugs, with a fan posting her name on a Thread about celebrities on Ozempic.

Dr Motykie said it was unlikely she was using the drug, however, saying her frame still appeared to be toned.

Weight loss or not, Catherine still put on a showstopping display at the Emmys, where she enjoyed a hilarious moment with her Schitt's Creek co-stars Eugene and Dan Levy and Annie Murphy.

Annie, 37, joined Eugene, 77, and Dan, 41, onstage to present the last award for Outstanding Comedy Series.

'Oh, my gosh, it's my TV sister Annie Murphy,' Dan said referencing a beloved character from the hit show that cleaned up at the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards in 2020.

'Hi, everybody,' Annie said as the audience applauded.

'What's up, Annie?,' Dan asked.

'Well, they said the shining star of Schitt's Creek is going to present the final award of the night, so...',' Annie said.

Eugene then interjected, 'There's been a little confusion here, Annie.'

'I know, and that’s fine, you can stay on stage, but just kind of scooch back a little bit,' Annie said as she moved in front of them.

Dan then told Annie they were there to present that person and it actually wasn't her.

Catherine beamed after being introduced as the 'favorite TV mom'

'I knew that. That I knew,' Annie quipped.

'So please welcome our favorite TV mom,' she added as Catherine, 70, joined them on the stage.

Schitt's Creek is a Canadian sitcom created by Eugene and Dan and it followed the trials and tribulations of the formerly wealthy Rose family.

Eugene played family patriarch Johnny Rose, Catherine played his wife Moira Rose and Dan and Annie played their children David and Alexis.

This year’s ceremony took place less than a year after the 75th edition of the show.

It took place this past January after being moved back from its intended September 2023 date due to the writers and actors strikes.

Emmy Award winners Jesse Collins and Dionne Harmon along with Emmy-nominated Jeannae Rouzan-Clay of Jesse Collins Entertainment returned as executive producers of the 76th Emmy Awards.

This marks their second consecutive year as producers of television’s biggest night.

The 2024 Emmys ceremony aired live on Sunday, Sept. 15, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

It will also be available to stream the next day on Hulu.
