Scarlett Johansson was dressed for business as she attended a screening of the comedy-action movie Thelma in New York City on Thursday.

The 40-year-old longtime actress — who has a Today show hosting gig lined up later this month — wore a black pantsuit for the occasion.

The Iron Man star, who is married to comedian Colin Jost, layered her suit jacket over a crew neck white T-shirt.

Her blonde-highlighted locks were neatly pulled back into an updo secured with a claw clip and complete with a center part.

Following the screening, Scarlett sat with 95-year-old actress June Squibb to discuss the film, which was released on Hulu last summer.

Johansson looked typically beautiful with her visage covered in meticulously applied natural-looking makeup.

She rounded out her classic look with a pair of understated black footwear and she flaunted a glossy red manicure.

For her part, Squibb dazzled in a sparkly silver co-ord and her pout was coated in a rouge lipstick.

Squibb made her motion picture debut in the Josh Margolin-directed project.

She's been acting since 1948, bringing her to nearly 77 years in show business.

Squibb, who plays Thelma Post in the breakout film of her career, had grown used to playing supporting characters.

'I always loved what I was doing,' she told Vulture last June.

'I just wanted to work. And I think it's true that as you work, the more you work — not always but most of the time — the roles do get bigger.'

In the movie, the Illinois native plays a grandmother out for revenge after she gets bamboozled out of $10,000 by a scammer posing as her grandson.

It was announced on Tuesday that Scarlett join Jenna Hager as a co-anchor on the NBC morning show Jenna & Friends from January 21 until January 24.

While some social media users questioned her upcoming job, speculating that she might be 'short on pocket money,' an insider revealed that's not the case.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, the person close to the situation said Scarlett 'jumped at the chance' to work with Jenna, 43, and that she is eager to be an interviewer given that she is usually the subject of interviews.

'Scarlett is looking forward to co-hosting the Today show in a few weeks because she thinks it will be a lot of fun.

'She usually goes through the news with her husband Colin Jost so he can be ready for Weekend Update, and she thought that it would be fun to live on the other side of it all as she is usually the one in the news or being interviewed.'

It was added: 'She wanted a new perspective, she wants to have fun, and when she was asked to do it, she jumped at the chance.'

The source noted: 'For those that are trolling her for feeling that this is beneath her or that she is broke, she finds it ridiculous.'
