‘Today’ Announces Hoda Kotb’s Retirement and Official End Date
Life isn’t so ruff for Savannah Guthrie and her family.
The Today coanchor—who will host with Craig Melvin after Hoda Kotb departs next month—revealed that a furry new friend has made it into their home.
“Merry Christmas and happiest holidays!” Savannah captioned a Dec. 13 Instagram post debuting her family’s holiday card. “Oh, and we have a new family member…”
While the front of the card features the 52-year-old on a mountainside with her husband Mike Feldman and their children Vale, 10, and Charley, 8, the back of the card debuts the family’s newest member, a dog named Fetch Guthrie Feldman.
Savannah even channeled Lacey Chabert’s iconic Mean Girls character Gretchen Wieners while revealing the inspiration behind the pup’s name.
“Mike, Savannah, Vale and Charley are delighted to announce that this year, we made Fetch happen,” the card read. “Merriest everything to all and blessings for 2025!”
And the fun didn’t end with Savannah’s reference to the memorable line from Tina Fey’s 2004 movie—the crew also made cheeky shirts for the occasion.
In photos with their new dog, Savannah donned a tee that read, “I made Fetch happen.” Next to her, Mike sported a shirt with a minor and hilarious change, reading, “I let Fetch happen.”
Vale and Charley each rocked shirts in similar styles with their respective names and noting they love their furry friend.

But fur baby aside, the NBC News chief legal correspondent has been open about the rewarding, if difficult, role of being a mom.
“I think parenting is so hard,” she said during a May episode of Today. “It’s so perplexing. It’s the most challenging thing you could ever take on.”

“I think our job as moms is to be just rock solid,” she continued, before sharing a message to her kids. “I’m here and I’m for you. You can count on that. You can take that to the bank. You might be mad at me. That’s fine. I’ll still be here and I’ll still be for you and on your side.”
