Sarah Jessica Parker has reminisced about Carrie Bradshaw's memorable fashion statements on Sex And The City.

The 61-year-old actress – who recently was spotted looking disheveled in NYC – said the outfits selected by costume designers Patricia Field and Molly Rogers were 'insane.'

The HBO series, also starring Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte York), was a massive hit when it aired from 1998-2004.

Looking back at wardrobe fittings in an interview with People, Parker said, 'It would be 2 or 3 or 4 am, and we had just finished shooting, and I was in a fitting and they would have some of the most insane stuff.'

She added, 'There are Polaroids. There is documentation of these things. I would put anything on for them, because you never know.'

Parker – who shares three kids with husband Matthew Broderick – said the 'ridiculous' late nights were 'so much fun, and none of us had kids, none of us had to run home for any reason.'

The star declared about one of the show's main designers, 'I will absolutely put anything on for Molly Rogers.'

She gushed about Rogers' ability to source novel pieces, 'She's like, "There's a woman. I met a woman. She's in Albany."

'It's true. She'd go into people's homes…Digging through some stuff in an attic in Albany or Georgia or somewhere outside London.'

The success of Sex And The City spawned two movies, and the spinoff series And Just Like That, which aired for three seasons from 2021-2025.

In December 2021 Field discussed how she landed her costume designer gig on the early 2000s hit show through her relationship with Parker.

'I knew Sarah Jessica from before [the show] because we did this film down in Miami called Miami Rhapsody, and basically, that’s how I got the job on Sex and the City,' she told Page Six.

She added, 'They made a pilot, and nobody liked the clothes. And Sarah Jessica just grabbed me and said, "I want to introduce you to [SATC creator] Darren Star." She knew my vibe. She understood the tutu.

'She was great to work with because she loved fashion … [We were] two peas in a pod.'

And Just Like That, which wasn’t as popular as the original series, concluded its third and final season in August 2025.

'Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all,' Parker said in a statement after it was announced there wouldn't be a fourth season.

'I know others have loved her just as I have. Been frustrated, condemned and rooted for her. The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion.'

Cattrall was reportedly paid $1 million to briefly renew her role as PR mogul Samantha Jones for a 70-second cameo in the season two finale of AJLT, amid a yearslong feud with Parker.

She agreed only after negotiating directly with HBO Max chairman and CEO Casey Bloys.

In June 2023 she appeared on The View and said, 'It’s very interesting to get a call from the head of HBO saying, "What can we do?" and I went, "Hmm, let me get creative."

'And one of those things was to get Pat Field back because I just thought that if I’m going to come back, I gotta come back with that Samantha style. I gotta push it. And we did!'
