The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is my daily driver and the best phone I’ve ever used.
Unfolded, the massive inner display is comparable to a tablet, and I love using it to write, read comic books, watch shows, or play games – thanks to the giant space it affords. I play a lot of digital chess, and the tablet-like screen size is so much easier to play on than a regular phone screen.
When folded, the outer screen remains a good size, with an aspect ratio and dimensions similar to those of other modern handsets. Best of all, thanks to learnings from the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, this thing is really thin – when it's folded, it’s very hard to tell that this is anything other than a normal phone, which also means it’s light and easy to handle.
