Sam Thompson has shared how he really feels after THAT viral radio call about his ex girlfriend Zara McDermott's boyfriend Louis Tomlinson.
The radio presenter, 33, split from TV personality Zara, 29, in 2024 after five years together.
Zara then confirmed her relationship with the former One Direction singer months later, going Instagram official with him after weeks of speculation.
And earlier this month, while hosting his Hits Radio Breakfast Show, Sam was left speechless as he was put on the spot by a listener who brutally asked: 'How do you feel about playing the song from One Direction, Steal My Girl, knowing that one of the 1D boys did actually steal your girl?'
Now, Sam has opened up about the very awkward moment on the latest episode of his podcast Staying Relevant with best pal Pete Wicks.
He explained: 'I love breakfast radio but when you put a link out and we take a call and as the songs happen you have a small two minute window to pick up the phone and they say this is my question and if it passes with the producer then they come on.
'I believe good old Holly said "Are there any songs that Sam doesn't like playing on the radio?" Which is fair enough cool'.

He continued: 'But then Holly comes on and asks a slightly different version of that question.
'I meant every word of it by the way. I feel like we can move on, it's been enough time'.
Pete added: 'I thought you handled it very well. No one cares other than Holly and just from me to you Holly, "f*** you"'.
Pete added: 'Call my f***ing radio station and see what answer you get'
While Sam joked hinting at Pete's relationship with Olivia Attwood: 'We all know what question we want the answer to'.
Despite the very brutally question asked to Sam on air, he handled the moment like a pro and after a few seconds to compose himself he tried to recover.
He replied: 'Holly, I am live on air! How do I feel? First of all, and I mean this when I say it, it's a brilliant song. I still listen to it on the tube.
He continued: 'I know that sounds weird, but I listen to it on the tube all the time. I don't actually feel weird about it because I feel quite happy as long as everyone else is happy.
'I think everyone has found their person, and I think that's really, really nice. And I've actually met said guy, and he seems like a really nice dude, so I feel pretty good about it, to be fair. And it is an absolute banger. Everyone is looking for love, you know.'
The former Love Island star began dating Louis in March 2025, with the couple jetting to the Caribbean after spending their first Christmas together.
It's understood that Zara has moved into multi-millionaire Louis's north London mansion, having initially moved back into her parents' house after leaving the Fulham home she shared with ex-boyfriend Sam.
And earlier this month, Sam was left speechless on his radio show as he was asked: 'How do you feel about playing the song from One Direction, Steal My Girl, knowing that one of the 1D boys did actually stole your girl?'
Sam said: 'Holly comes on and asks a slightly different version of that question [she told his radio producer]. I meant every word of it by the way. I feel like we can move on'
Last month, Zara proved to be Louis's biggest supporter as she travelled with him to Denmark for the latest leg of his world tour.
Zara appeared emotional as she shared a snap on her Instagram stories of Louis on stage at the KB Hallen in Copenhagen, performing his third studio album, How Did I Get Here?
Zara added a string of emojis to the picture, which included red love hearts and crying emojis.
Louis's tour kicked off in Hamburg, Germany, on 23 March and is scheduled to travel through Europe and North America before concluding in Australia in October.
And it looks like Zara is travelling around with him after revealing she couldn't live without him on an Instagram Q and A.
When asked by a follower what the three things were that she couldn't live without, Zara was very straight to the point.
She penned: 'I'd have to say my family, my friends and my bf of course!!!'
