UTA has signed actor Sam Claflin for representation in all areas.

Known for his roles in major film franchises and critically acclaimed television series, Claflin’s recent work includes his performance as Billy Dunne opposite Riley Keough in Amazon Prime series “Daisy Jones & the Six” (2023), which earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Limited Series.

“I wanted to prove to myself that I could do things that are different and out of the box. I hoped that a few people would watch and think, ‘Oh, wow. Actually, he’s not just this guy.’ Now, especially — I’m not 23 with a six-pack and on the up-and-coming list anymore. I’m the older guy,” Claflin told Variety in a 2023 profile.

Claflin landed his first film role in 2011 with “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” and has since shown an impressive range as Will Traynor in the tearjerker “Me Before You” (2016) and the ruthless fascist Oswald Mosley in “Peaky Blinders.” The actor is perhaps best known for portraying the charismatic revolutionary Finnick Odair from the “Hunger Games” franchise in 2013’s “Catching Fire” and the subsequent two “Mockingjay” movies. Other credits include “Adrift,” “Snow White and the Huntsman,” “The Riot Club,” “Enola Holmes” and “Love, Rosie.”

Up next, Claflin will star in the Amazon limited series “Lazarus,” a psychological mystery thriller from the creative team behind Netflix’s “Fool Me Once.” He also stars as Edmond Dantès in Billie August’s forthcoming TV adaptation of the classic Alexandre Dumas novel “The Count of Monte Cristo.”

Claflin will continue to be represented by Independent Talent in the UK.
