Salesforce shares rose 10% in premarket trading on Thursday following the company’s earnings and news of an expanded partnership with Anthropic.
The companies on Wednesday introduced Claudeforce, combining Claude’s reasoning, judgment and agentic tool use with Salesforce’s enterprise data, workflows, business rules and governance. The first product under the partnership is Salesforce in Claude, a plugin with 37 sales-focused skills designed to let sellers use Claude to access live revenue context and perform tasks directly from the AI interface.
The partnership extends to Slack, where Claude will become the default model for Slack AI and Slackbot. Salesforce said users will be able to work with Claude in Slack and then execute governed actions in Salesforce without leaving their existing workflow.
Salesforce, which posted over $11 billion in second-quarter revenue, is also making Claude Code and Claude Enterprise available to its developers and knowledge workers, while Anthropic uses Salesforce as its preferred CRM and Slack as its preferred workplace collaboration platform.
Salesforce in Claude is currently being tested by select customers and is expected to enter open beta in September 2026, with additional skills rolling out later in the year.
